Wolverhampton murder probe: Cops hunting for Snapchat video after 'boy killed following stabbing'

A video on social media posted after a schoolboy’s alleged murder could be vital in piecing together how the 15-year-old died, detectives have said. The footage, which was shared on Snapchat, is thought to have captured part of the incident which saw the teenager allegedly stabbed in the Black Country. It comes after detectives launched a murder probe when the boy was fatally injured in Wolverhampton on Friday, May 28. He was part of a group of people outside Pendeford Fish Bar, in The Haymarket, at about 3.40pm. Paramedics were then called to a canal bridge near Reapers Walk – just half-a-mile from the chippy – and began treating him before calling police at about 4.15pm. A police cordon is still in place at the scene near the Shropshire Main Canal, with a specialist underwater search set to take place today.
