Woman pulled over for speeding in Wyandotte arrested for narcotics possession – The News Herald

Speed is what got a police officer’s attention, but what really got the driver into more serious trouble is what she had inside her vehicle. The traffic stop occurred shortly after 4 a.m. April 30, in the area of Fort Street and Orchard. A Wyandotte police officer observed a vehicle excessively speeding in the 1600 block of Fort Street. According to police, the officer was unable to catch the speeding vehicle for more than a mile, due to the excessive speed. After finally catching up to the vehicle and pulling it over, the officer recognized possible narcotics use. Confirming his suspicion, the officer located seven small bags of crack cocaine. The 60-year-old Detroit woman was arrested for possession of narcotics.
