WVU esports receives contribution from Breezeline | E-News | West Virginia University

A significant contribution made during WVU Day of Giving will directly support WVU esports’ expanding youth programs, including summer skills development camps held both in person and online. “At Breezeline, we believe in supporting the communities we serve and fostering opportunities for young people,” said Tom Delawder, Breezeline regional marketing manager for West Virginia, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia. “We’re thrilled to contribute to WVU esports and help them expand their programs, providing valuable experiences for students and the wider gaming community.” WVU esports has had competitive varsity teams since October 2021, and it has been expanding to include more opportunities for students and staff members to work with K-12 students in the area. Last summer, WVU esports hosted its inaugural Bridge Battle Royale youth Fortnite tournament, with more than 100 students participating.
