Liberty Mitchell, aged 21 and of Chipping Norton, appeared at Gloucester Crown Court on Friday, February 13, for sentencing after admitting causing the deaths of Octavian Codreanu and Moyra Whelan in a multi-vehicle crash near Aldsworth. Mitchell had recently turned 18 when she tried to overtake on the wrong side of the B4425 at Riversmeet North just after 12.45pm on Friday, December 2, 2022. Four vehicles were involved in the collision: a Mini Cooper driven by Mitchell, an Audi A3, a Polestar 2, and a Seat Leon taxi.
