Facebook Messenger, the popular messaging app, has a hidden spam tab that many users may not be aware of. This spam tab filters messages from unknown senders or messages that are suspected to be spam. The spam tab is designed to protect users from unwanted messages and potential scams. It separates these messages from the main inbox, ensuring that users only see messages from their friends and trusted sources in the primary tab. This hidden spam tab works by using an algorithm that analyzes different factors, such as the sender’s activity, message content, and other signals, to determine if a message is a potential spam. If a message is flagged as spam, it is automatically moved to the spam tab and is hidden from the main inbox. To access the hidden spam tab, users need to open the Facebook Messenger app and tap on their profile picture in the top left corner. From there, they can select “Message Requests” and then “Spam” to view the filtered messages. While the hidden spam tab can effectively filter out unwanted messages,  » Read More

Salesforce, the software company behind one of the best CRMs for sales, has released out a patch for its email services after security researchers discovered a zero-day vulnerability that allowed hackers to target Facebook users with a convincing phishing scam. The actively exploited bug was discovered by the team at Guardio Labs and has been dubbed “PhishForce”. It made use of a flaw in Salesforce's “email-to-case” feature – which lets users automate the creation of tickets for customer queries – to send outbound emails purporting to be from Meta Platforms via the official “@case.salesforce.com” domain. Not only did these emails look genuine to the recipients, but they evaded Facebook's built-in phishing detection defenses as well, once again highlighting how even the most robust antivirus software and related solutions can be duped by gaps in the security architecture of popular products. A worker who was sacked because her bosses believed a Facebook post they linked to her had criticised Ukrainian refugees for leaving the war zone and was “hate speech” has won over €10,500 for unfair dismissal.Irene Glynn said her employer, the Carlow Dental Centre, gave her no opportunity to defend herself before sacking her. She also submitted that her account “could have been hacked for all the respondent knew” – adding that what a member of the public saw and reported “may not have been a posting” she made. The Workplace Relations Commission found the Carlow Dental Centre had had failed to investigate the allegation against Ms Glynn and that the matter could perhaps have merited a warning, but not dismissal. The tribunal upheld Ms Glynn’s complaint under the Unfair Dismissals Act 1977 against Carlow Dental Centre in a decision published this morning, as well as awarding her statutory notice pay under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Act, 1973.“Ireland is on its knees;  » Read More
