New Delhi/Brasilia: Microsoft-owned LinkedIn has changed its global policy for job postings after Brazilian authorities flagged the removal of postings on its platform that were exclusive to black and indigenous professionals. The professional networking website faced severe criticism for excluding a job opening by the Centre for the Analysis of Freedom and Authoritarianism in Brazil. In the job posting, the Brazilian organisation expressed that preference would be given to black and indigenous candidates in the selection process, reports ZDNet. “We have updated our global job posting policy to allow publication of publications that express a preference for professionals from historically disadvantaged groups in hiring in countries where this practice is considered legal,” the company said in a statement late on Tuesday. LinkedIn’s global policy prohibits discrimination in job postings based on characteristics such as age, gender, disability, ethnicity, race, and sexual orientation. After the job vacancy was removed, the platform received severe criticisms from its Brazilian users. “In Brazil, affirmative vacancies are now allowed, including for black and indigenous people. We appreciate the feedback we have received from our community in Brazil,” said LinkedIn. 29 March 2022 07:00 BST   Ondexxya is the first approved reversal agent specifically for Factor Xa inhibitors, providing a major advance in the treatment of patients hospitalised with life-threatening bleeding   Ondexxya (andexanet alfa) has been approved in Japan for patients treated with the Factor Xa (FXa) inhibitors apixaban, rivaroxaban or edoxaban, when reversal of anticoagulation is needed due to life-threatening or uncontrolled bleeding. The approval by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare was based on positive results from the  ANNEXA-4  Phase III clinical trial showing Ondexxya rapidly and markedly reversed anti-FXa activity in patients with acute major bleeding. Ondexxya is the first approved medicine in Japan to specifically reverse the anticoagulant effect of FXa inhibitors apixaban, rivaroxaban or edoxaban in patients experiencing a life-threatening or uncontrolled bleed. Japan is also the first country to provide full regulatory approval of Ondexxya for use with all three of the FXa inhibitors currently available. FXa inhibitors are increasingly used for the prevention and treatment of thrombotic events, including deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism, or in patients at high risk of a stroke due to an irregular heart rate (atrial fibrillation). The Sunland Derby, a designated stakes race that offers qualifying points to the 2022 Kentucky Derby, saw eight horses line up for the race. Slow Down Andy, the morning line favorite at 2-1 odds, won the race and grabbed the 50 qualifying points for the 2022 Kentucky Derby in May but it did not come easy. In the last corner, the locally trained race horse ‘Bye Bye Bobby’ grabbed a second wind of energy and jumped from third place to a side by side battle with the leader Slow Down Andy. "Quick question — have you ever considered or looked into a unified approach to message, video, and phone on any device, anywhere?" DiResta wasn't interested and would have ignored the message entirely, but then she looked closer at Ramsey's profile picture. Little things seemed off in what should have been a typical corporate headshot. Ramsey was wearing only one earring. Bits of her hair disappeared and then reappeared. Her eyes were aligned right in the middle of the image. "The face jumped out at me as being fake," said DiResta, a veteran researcher who has studied Russian disinformation campaigns and anti-vaccine conspiracies.
