A Mumbai-based founder has sparked online chatter after suggesting a playful, yet pointed, twist to professional networking: a “#OpenToMarry” badge on LinkedIn, akin to its “Open to Work” tag. The idea came from Shubham Gune, CEO of agency Hinglish, who shared his frustrations with traditional dating apps and matrimonial sites. He wrote: “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi? Before you judge me, hear me out.” He went on to question why a platform that connects professionals couldn’t also facilitate meaningful relationships when it already links jobs, clients, mentors and investors. Gune’s post featured an edited profile picture declaring “Open To Marry” and invited others to join a movement under the hashtag. His tongue-in-cheek suggestion drew thousands of reactions and turned the comments section into what users dubbed a “LinkedIn swayamvar.” The conversation took an even funnier turn when dating site Shaadi.com joined the thread. Its official handle chimed in with: “We got LinkedIn swayamvar before GTA 6.” The banter highlighted how the line between professional and personal networking is blurring. The 4th annual Holiday Craft and Vendor Fair and Silent Auction will be held Saturday, Nov. 8 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Pipestone Area Schools Commons. There will be over 40 vendors at this event. The event is free to the public. There will be lunch available. This is a fundraiser for the Pipestone Senior Center. Yesterday's Wisconsin Court of Appeals decision in MacCudden v. Johnson (Justice Joseph Donald, joined by Justice Maxine White), involved a former high school English teacher (MacCudden); at the time of the statements, she had resigned from the school district, but hadn't updated her LinkedIn profile. Johnson received a screenshot from a friend of a portion of MacCudden's LinkedIn profile, which Johnson subsequently posted on social media. Johnson's post included the portion of MacCudden's LinkedIn profile which stated that she worked as a "Social Justice Coordinator" circled in red and Johnson wrote, "hy the hell am I paying for a 'Social Justice Coordinator' in my school district?" Johnson further stated, "his is just what @mtschools needs; more woke, white women w/ a god complex. Thank you, white savior." Later, Johnson added, "f really wants to promote equity, perhaps she should forfeit her job to a person of color?" Johnson also replied to a social media user that: Teachers who educate are paid a fraction of what these DEI "specialists" earn. Parents know these woke lunatics are bullies. eVTOL stocks are taking off, but the market may be getting ahead of itself. These so-called “flying cars” are really just electric helicopters that could carry cargo – or people – over short distances. It sounds like a great way to avoid traffic, but the success of these firms lies with regulators like the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). There’s also the issue of actually selling something once approval is granted. Is it time to jump into flying taxi stocks now before they take off? Peter Thiel once said, “We wanted flying cars. Instead, we got 140 characters.” Of course, that’s changed. Tweets or posts can now be any length. Twitter’s now called X. And we still don’t have flying cars.  We do have helicopters, though, which sort of fit the bill if you put wheels on them. More so if they can be run on electricity, so they’re not so noisy. Then they basically become large drones, which transport large cargo like humans. These are the flying cars of today.
