LinkedIn limits competitor analytics to premium company pages – Social Samosa

LinkedIn will make competitor insights a paid feature from Oct 15, giving $99/month Premium users access to data on nine rivals and trending posts from three. LinkedIn will soon restrict access to certain analytics features, previously available for free, to paid subscribers of its Premium Company Pages starting October 15. The update will allow Premium Company Page users, who pay at least $99 per month, to compare data from up to nine competitor pages and view trending posts from three competitors. These insights were earlier accessible to all company page admins without a subscription. The change is part of the platform’s broader strategy to grow its subscription-based offerings. The company launched its business packages in April last year, and since then, Premium Company Pages have recorded nearly 80% subscriber growth quarter-over-quarter, making it one of its fastest-growing products. The company noted that by limiting certain tools to paid users, the platform aims to increase uptake of its premium plans and reduce support costs. Social media platforms are also seen putting their advanced analytics and engagement tools behind paywalls to encourage subscription growth. While advertising tends to remain the platform’s main source of revenue, it continues to expand its paid services

AI literacy surpasses degrees in evolving job market: LinkedIn CEO – Outsource Accelerator

CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES — LinkedIn Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ryan Roslansky has emphasized that AI literacy will soon outweigh traditional academic degrees in securing jobs.  Business Insider reports that in a recent fireside chat at the company’s San Francisco office, Roslansky stated that businesses are increasingly prioritizing adaptability and AI skills over experience and prestigious degrees, signaling a major change in hiring practices. Growing importance of AI skills  According to Roslansky, as AI integrates more deeply into various industries, the future of work will favor those who are adaptable and open to embracing AI tools over individuals with the most advanced degrees or prestigious college backgrounds. The change is also new to those who are willing to learn and adapt to the ever-evolving world of technology. Business leaders are now more concerned with recruiting individuals who can leverage AI to transform their companies into more productive and effective organizations, rather than those with the most impressive degrees.  This was proved by a recent survey by Microsoft in 2024, in which 71% of business leaders stated that they would prefer a less-experienced applicant with AI capabilities over a more experienced applicant without AI capabilities.  With the increasing integration of AI into

LinkedIn study finds sharp rise in gender equity at UK firms – Personnel Today

There has been a significant rise (19%) since 2024 in the number of the UK’s largest 400 companies meeting gender equity benchmarks, according to a new report. The 2025 Women in Work Gender Equity Measure report, produced in partnership with LinkedIn, found that 121 companies were now reaching these standards. However, noted the report, women remained excluded from top roles: nine out of 10 male CEOs were replaced by men, compared with a 50/50 split when female CEOs stepped down. And LinkedIn data revealed three-quarters of UK companies had a lower proportion of women in leadership than in their overall workforce. The findings show women fall behind at every stage of their career, with career progression stalling hardest between ages 30-50 when caregiving responsibilities peak. This report analyses the UK’s top 400 companies on three metrics: meaningful representation of women on boards (above 33%); closing gender pay gap (mean or median hourly pay gap under 15%); and transparent and public parental leave policies. More than half of the 400 companies analysed (232) made parental leave policies public and easy to find – a 22% increase on 2024. Six more companies had a lowest mean or median hourly pay gap of less
