Card and chocolates with appreciation: Unexpected perks of covering sports – Revsportz

A Thank you card from Jaynil, an avid viewer, follower of Revsportz. Image Revsportz Boria Majumdar in London There are moments that kind of make you feel that all this hard work is worth it. We generally do our post-day live shows from the park opposite the Danubius hotel. The Internet reception is really nice there. Yesterday also, the routine was the same. I had reached early while Gargi joined me a couple of minutes later. In that little time, a young man walked up to me and called out my name. He looked familiar, but I couldn’t really place him. That’s when he said, “Boria sir, recognise me? Met you at the MCG outside Gate 3 during the Boxing Day Test. My name is Jaynil”. And it all came back to me. He is one of our avid viewers and someone who asks intelligent questions and engages in healthy debate. It was nice of him to walk up to me and I asked him if he had come to watch the game. “I work here,” he said and went on to add, “Had travelled to Melbourne in December and taken the opportunity to watch the Boxing Day Test.” Thereafter

Anthropic wants candidates to use Claude for a polished job application. | Business Insider – LinkedIn

Business Insider’s Post From AI ban to AI embrace: Anthropic wants candidates to use Claude for a polished job application. Anthropic wouldn't let job applicants use AI. After my report, they now do. businessinsider.com When even leading AI labs don’t want AI used in their own recruitment process, that’s the clearest signal that the line between authenticity and automation is still blurry—even for the ones building the future. Anthropic, one of the biggest names in AI, initially banned candidates from using AI tools for job applications (no AI-written CVs, no cover letters). When this leaked (thanks to Business Insider), public pressure forced them to change their policy—proof that brand trust is fragile in this game. The real story: AI is great for marketing and product launches, but when it comes to hiring, even top labs want to see the human behind the resume. No one truly trusts “AI everywhere” just yet—especially not when it’s about finding genuine talent versus “prompt engineering.” This is the reality check: as long as AI writes applications for candidates, companies aren’t ready to trust their future to machines alone. > "AI hype is great for presentations, but when it comes to real filters—people still want

Too Big to Fail, But Is ASML Too Big to Grow Revenue? – Nanalyze

We try to check in on stocks that we think might have a home in the Nanalyze Tech portfolio every year or so. This is to see if the company has made the necessary adjustments to satisfy our investment criteria or if the investment thesis has changed based on things like technology disruption or market fit. Our evaluations try to tune out the short-term noise while investigating the long-term prospects. Of course, certain trends tend to dominate at any given point in time. A recent comment by ASML (ASML) CEO Christophe Fouquet during the company’s Q1-2025 call captures the current zeitgeist for any company that develops technologies that support AI. “Our conversations so far with customers support our expectation that 2025 and 2026 will be growth years. However, the recent tariff announcements have increased uncertainty in the macro environment and the situation will remain dynamic for a while. As previously shared, artificial intelligence continues to be the primary growth driver in our industry. It has created a shift in the market dynamics that benefits some customers more than others, contributing to both upside potential and downside risks as reflected in our 2025 revenue range.” – CEO Christophe Fouqet In other

Google Employee Receives Kalakand With Fungus From Swiggy – Startup Pedia

What happens when you order something from a food delivery  app and receive food that has compromised quality? You immediately head over to the support bar and expect a fast resolution over chat. Things turned out differently for Rashmi Rani, a Growth Marketer at Google, when she ordered food from Swiggy and received fungus-laden sweets – only to be told that the restaurant won’t support processing a refund. An option to escalate it via email was provided. CUSTOMER FEEDBACK ON LINKEDIN Disappointed with the experience, Rashmi took to LinkedIn to share everything.  “Swiggy delivered kalakand with fungus from Bikanervala Foods Pvt. Ltd,” she wrote. Adding further, she mentioned that she was able to discover the fungus only after her family had consumed half of the sweets. According to her, her in-laws cannot see very clearly and thought the food to be alright. She fell ill with diarrhea shortly after. “Even worse: Swiggy's customer care doesn't have any option to report the issue - email only and follow-up,” she stated. Along with her post, she added a screenshot of the chat she had with Swiggy’s support team. They confirmed that the restaurant in question had a standardized method of preparing food and

What LinkedIn Told Me This Weekend About U.S. National Security – The Contrarian

When I told my wife I was probably ready to retire from the CIA, she said, “You need to get on LinkedIn.” My response: “What’s LinkedIn?” Like many in the intelligence community, I had no social media profile. For nearly three decades, I’d worked in a world where digital visibility was something to be avoided, not cultivated. But when retirement came, my wife insisted. And, so—awkwardly, belatedly—I set up a LinkedIn profile, trying to explain a career most assumed was thrilling but irrelevant, useful only if I stayed tethered to the national security bureaucracy. Over the past couple of years, I’ve found myself on the receiving end of such inquiries via LinkedIn. Since I began teaching in January, those messages have included the occasional outreach from students at other universities, asking the same questions my students were asking that semester: How do I apply to the CIA? Can you tell me about a career in the intelligence community? Did the Russians ever try to recruit you? But in late May, I noticed a shift. The volume crept up. So did the diversity of backgrounds and the urgency in tone. These weren’t just college seniors looking for guidance. They now included

LinkedIn enables third-party analytics access with new Member Post API – PPC Land

LinkedIn announced on July 8, 2025 the launch of its Member Post Analytics application programming interface (API), marking the first time creators can plug LinkedIn performance metrics directly into third-party tools they already use to manage and track content. The new API provides access to key performance metrics including follower growth, post impressions and video views through external platforms. According to LinkedIn director of creator products Sam Corrao Clanon, the API is now available to creators using 11 third-party tools and platforms, with more integrations planned in the coming year. The current vendor list includes Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprinklr, Metricool, Oktopost, Zoho, mLabs, Social Pilot, Later, Publer and Vista Social. Third-party vendors do not have to pay LinkedIn for access to the new API, with a free approval form available on LinkedIn's website. "What this will do on the creator side, and specifically with regard to their relationship with advertisers, is give a more complete picture of what their reach looks like across platforms, from whatever tool they use," Clanon said.
