Jaipur man shares cute email from LinkedIn user who couldn’t DM him – India Today

A Jaipur-based man shared a screenshot of an email from a LinkedIn user who said she couldn't message him directly. A Jaipur-based man's LinkedIn post went viral. (Representational image from Pexels) New Delhi, UPDATED: Jun 3, 2025 17:04 IST A user emailed a Jaipur-based man after realising they couldn't message him on LinkedIn, and their cute note left the internet smiling. What happens when LinkedIn doesn’t let you slide into someone’s DMs? You send an email instead. That’s exactly what happened when the user decided to reach out to Kartik B, whom they found interesting, without trying to be “weird” about it. Kartik, who shared a screenshot of the email in a now-viral post on LinkedIn, kept it light with the caption, “LinkedIn is the new Tinder/Bumble/Hinge, they say.” The email began with a polite “Hi!” and quickly got to the point. The sender wrote that they couldn’t message him directly on LinkedIn and had to use a “second-hand email address” due to privacy concerns, for now. What followed was a mix of compliments, nerves, and an unapologetically sweet confession that will make you smile. “You don’t know me, and I don’t expect anything from you either, just wanted to

CMS Chief of Staff: House bill aims to slow — not cut — Medicaid spending

STAT Managing Editor and AHCJ Board Vice President Gideon Gil moderates a Q&A with CMS Deputy Administrator and Chief of Staff Stephanie Carlton at HJ25 in Los Angeles. Photo by Zachary Linhares You may not have heard this interpretation of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act: The House-passed legislation is not designed to cut Medicaid spending, according to Stephanie Carlton, deputy administrator and chief of staff at the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. “Just to be clear, nobody’s proposed a cut,” Carlton said Friday at Health Journalism 2025 in Los Angeles. “It is a management of the rate of growth over time.”  Since the U.S. House of Representatives passed the bill on May 22, reports have shown it would cut Medicaid spending. In an analysis of the bill, KFF wrote: “The Congressional Budget Office’s (CBO) latest cost estimate shows the bill would reduce federal Medicaid spending by $723 billion and that the Medicaid provisions would increase the number of uninsured people by 7.6 million.” Attendees of HJ25 in L.A. listen to CMS Deputy Administrator and Chief of Staff Stephanie Carlton talk about the Trump Administration’s most significant decisions so far and what’s on the horizon. Don’t consider AI your friend, it’ll hurt you: LinkedIn co-founder – NewsBytes

Summarize Next Article Reid Hoffman emphasized emotional risks of forming false bonds with machines What's the story Reid Hoffman, the co-founder of LinkedIn and a prominent investor in artificial intelligence (AI), has warned against treating AI as a friend. In a recent episode of the Possible podcast, he said that no current AI tool is capable of being a true friend. "I don't think any AI tool today is capable of being a friend," he said. "And I think if it's pretending to be a friend, you're actually harming the person in so doing," Hoffman added. Concerns amid AI companion trend Hoffman's comments come as tech giants like Meta push for AI companions on their platforms. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently said he sees these chatbots as a solution to America's loneliness epidemic. However, Hoffman believes that such developments could be harmful if companies don't clarify what AI can and can't do. He also stressed the difference between companionship and friendship, saying the former doesn't necessarily involve mutual support or growth. Hoffman emphasizes the importance of mutual support in friendship Hoffman further explained that true friendship involves two people supporting each other and growing together.
