Tanasi Waterfront Dining to open 4 years after fire – Yahoo

Four years after a fire destroyed the Tanasi Clubhouse, a new waterfront dining destination is welcoming guests back to Tellico Village. The rebuilt Tanasi Clubhouse includes Tanasi Waterfront Dining, with expanded spaces and updated amenities designed to give people a place to gather, dine and enjoy the waterfront. "This has been four years of a labor of love," said Christine Martinez, director of food and beverage. "This is a beautiful building that we're so excited to welcome guests into, and it's almost like the Phoenix rising from the ashes, so to speak." The rebuilding process allowed Tellico Village to reconsider what it wanted from the space. Marketing and communications officer Beth Kuberka said the original clubhouse was in need of more space. "The kitchen was too small so we knew we wanted it to be bigger," Kuberka said. The $11.6 million rebuild includes more space, modern finishes, private dining and areas for people to gather. It adds on to the recently re-opened golf clubhouse. Golfers can now enjoy food as they play.  » Read More
