Tuesday, 20 May 2025 - 17:00 Six employees of a care facility for people with a severe mental handicap have been humiliating their clients, filming it, and sharing the footage with each other in a closed group on Snapchat. The videos were recorded in an assisted living facility in De Akker, Bodegraven, in Zuid-Holland. The workers worked for the care organization Sirjon. The organization has announced that they have been suspended immediately. The residents at the De Akker location of the care organization have the mental capabilities of a child aged 0 to 3. Some also have a type of autism. They need physical care and guidance in their daily lives. Jan van Ginkel, the chairman at Sirjon, watched the footage on Saturday. The oldest videos were taken around nine months ago. He did not mention the contents of the videos but described them as “explicit footage” and called it “disrespectful and humiliating.” According to him, no sexually explicit acts were shown in the footage. Sirjon would not say how many clients were victims of these acts. “Educational psychologists will pay close attention to whether their behavior has changed and whether this could be related to the incidents.” The residents

The trial for former Sabinal High School track coach and social studies teacher Kenneth Wayne Mulkey has been rescheduled for June 24. Mulkey, who remains in federal custody on charges of enticing a minor, now has until June 13 to enter into a plea bargain to avoid trial. A public affairs officer for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Texas told the Leader-News that court hearings could be rescheduled for a variety of reasons and he didn’t know the specific cause for this trial’s rescheduling. Federal law enforcement arrested Mulkey Jan. 31 and accused him of making indecent comments, sending lewd photos and requesting explicit photos from an undercover officer that he believed was a 14-year-old boy on Snapchat in October 2024. Court documents allege Mulkey was within 131 feet of Sabinal High School for the Snapchat conversation. NORTHFIELD, Minn. (KFGO-WCCO) – A former Northfield Middle School teacher is accused of sending sexual photos of herself to high school students, and a former school resource officer is accused of covering up the incidents. The two were charged in Rice County on Thursday. Charging documents say a student came forward in December to report that Katie Hanson, 37, was sending photos via Snapchat, and she had some of the photos on her phone. The student noted that she knew a report had been made in March 2024 with Gabriel Crombie, 33, who was a school resource officer at the time. The student estimated that Hanson was communicating with a dozen boys, charges say. An officer interviewed one of the boys, who said he had received photos from Hanson. The boy believed some of the photos were taken from inside the school building. He also added that at one point Hanson offered him edibles, charges say. At one point in the conversation, Hanson had invited him over to her home, which he declined, documents say. A former Sussex Police officer has admitted sending a child sex abuse video while employed by the force. George Voisey distributed a category A video - the most serious classification of child sexual abuse material - on Snapchat of a child aged nine or 10, a court has heard. On Monday at Hove Crown Court, the 24-year-old pleaded guilty to distributing an indecent photograph of a child and two counts of making indecent photographs of a child. Voisey was not on duty when he committed the offences and resigned from the force on 1 March. The crimes took place between June and October 2024. Prosecutor Jeremy King previously told Brighton Magistrates' Court that the National Crime Agency alerted Sussex Police to the child sex offences in October. Voisey, of Horsham, was then arrested and suspended from duty, police said. Investigations found that Voisey made five category B and seven category C images, it added. Sussex Police said it would consider misconduct proceedings against Voisey after criminal proceedings conclude. Voisey was bailed and is expected to be sentenced in June.
