Tyler Pettit, from Isle, was charged in 2024 with four counts of disseminating pornographic material involving children 14 and younger. Pettit was a volunteer, non-sworn reserve deputy for Mille Lacs County, and had also worked at a group home where children lived. According to court documents, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children alerted the sheriff's office in May 2024 that a Snapchat account tied to one of Pettit's email addresses uploaded four videos to another user a month earlier showing boys as young as 8 being abused. Investigators from both Mille Lacs and Isanti counties also uncovered online messages where Pettit pretended to be a boy and stated his sexual attraction to children, the complaint states. MADISON, Wis. — A former Madison Metropolitan School District teacher pleaded guilty in a federal child pornography case Monday afternoon, online court records show. David Fawcett, 59, pleaded guilty to one count of production of child pornography in the Western District of Wisconsin. He faces a minimum sentence of 15 years in prison. A criminal complaint alleges Fawcett began messaging a 15-year-old girl from Texas in June 2025 using the social media app Snapchat. Messages detailed in the complaint appear to show him requesting nude images of the teen and sending her nude images of himself. Investigators with the Melissa, Texas Police Department were notified of the alleged Snapchat messages through a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Investigators matched Fawcett to his Snapchat account by using his IP address. Fawcett was previously charged with sexual exploitation of a child and three counts of possession of child pornography in Dane County but was dismissed in April. A second charge of child pornography was also dropped during Monday's plea hearing. A MMSD spokesperson confirmed to Channel3000.com that Fawcett no longer works at Nuestro Mundo Community School. TULSA, Okla. — A 14-year-old Broken Arrow girl is safe after spending a week with a suspected child predator she met online, prompting a warning from her father for parents to monitor their children's online activity. 43-year-old Matthew Puza faces charges of making lewd proposals to a child and harboring a runaway. A close friend of Liam Payne has been officially cleared of criminal charges as the investigation into the One Direction singer's tragic death continues.  Argentinian businessman Rogelio 'Roger' Nores, 38, has now been fully cleared of all criminal charges relating to Payne's fatal fall from a hotel in late 2024.  Prosecutors did not appeal the ruling, meaning the dismissal is final.
