GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Authorities arrested a man from Gainesville who was accused of having sexually explicit conversations with multiple children online. The Alachua County and Gainesville ICAC Task Force received a tip indicating a Snapchat user was sending harmful material to a 14-year-old from the home of Aaron Eliot-Gaines, 33, on Southwest 68th Terrace. Investigators say the account participated in sexual conversations with multiple children, including one as young as 11 years old. During an interview with detectives, Eliot-Gaines admitted to owning the accounts and sharing sexually explicit photos of himself with the minors. A Wheatley Heights man has been charged with raping two 14-year-old girls whom he allegedly communicated with through the social media app Snapchat between December 2024 and June 2025.  Kemuel St. Juste, 26, was arraigned on Feb. 13 before Judge Karen M. Wilutis on three counts of second-degree rape, one count of second-degree attempted rape and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney announced on Wednesday. "The charges detail a disturbing pattern of grooming and sexual assault against vulnerable minors, whom he is alleged to have manipulated," Tierney said in a statement. "Our office is committed to ensuring that he is held fully accountable and that these young victims receive the justice they deserve." Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr today announced that Reed Cohen Skelton, 26, of Bowersville, has been convicted of trafficking a 16-year-old female in Fulton County. Skelton, who is a former ICU nurse, communicated with the victim using social media apps, including Snapchat, before trafficking her months later. “This is the disturbing reality that we’re seeing online, where traffickers are targeting our children for abuse and exploitation,” said Carr. “Whether it’s Snapchat or Roblox or any other app, child predators will find a way to communicate with their next victim, and we’re doing everything in our power to stop them. Our team is on the ground leading this fight, and we won’t rest until every child is safe and every trafficker is brought to justice.” This case was prosecuted by former Assistant Attorney General Kaitlyn (Fain) Salinas and Assistant Attorney General Claire Anderson of the Attorney General’s Human Trafficking Prosecution Unit. Taxi driver Octavian Codreanu was killed at the scene on the B4425 near Aldsworth in December 2022, and his passenger, schoolteacher Moyra Whelan, later died from her injuries. Liberty Michell, 21, pleaded guilty to two counts of causing death by dangerous driving, three counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and two counts of causing death by driving whilst uninsured. Mitchell had passed her driving test just three weeks before the crash. Gloucestershire Police said footage from Mitchell’s Snapchat account showed her driving on narrow roads at speeds of up to 100mph.
