I didn’t believe this at the time. Though I had just as much of the ‘it’s not a phase’ mentality as my peers, and earnestly convinced my parents that the TWICE posters on my wall would never find their way back down, it was somehow daunting that I might apparently be stuck with the same musical preferences for the rest of my life.  Alas, the garish posters were eventually rolled up and began to collect dust in the depths of a drawer, and old playlists fell out of use in the oblivion of an ever-expanding musical library.  This was the age for discovery. Birley firefighters were called out to an accidental fire involving an out of control bonfire at 7:10pm on Darnall Drive, Sheffield. The crew left the scene at 7:50pm. Firefighters from Aston station attended a deliberate rubbish fire at 7:35pm on Corker Bottoms Lane, Sheffield. The crew came away at 8:10pm. Thorne firefighters were called out to a small fire in woodland at 7:55pm on Waggons Way, Stainforth, Doncaster. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. The crew left the scene at 8:15pm. A fire crew from Rossington station attended a deliberate grassland fire at 8:55pm on Wike Gate Road, Thorne, Doncaster. The crew came away at 9:25pm. Firefighters from Doncaster station were called out to a deliberate rubbish fire at 9:05pm on Lime Tree Avenue, Armthorpe, Docnaster. The crew left the scene at 9:20pm. Greeted by hundreds of supporters, John Reid took to the stage at Atlas 42 in Henrico vowing to remain the Republican party nominee for lieutenant governor five days after Gov. Glenn Youngkin asked him to step out of the race. Youngkin's request came after he learned sexually explicit photos, which showed men in various states of undress, were shared to a Tumblr account with the same username Reid uses on a different social media platform. Reid was not in any of the photos and said the account is not his. (Dave Pearson for the Henrico Citizen) Speaking Tuesday, Youngkin called the incident a distraction. "The decision is John's and up to John. But, that's why I called him and that's what I wanted him to understand is that at a time when we need to be speaking about really important topics it's a distraction and I don't think that it's the best way for us to get a message out to Virginians," Youngkin said. Wednesday's rally was supposed to be the unveiling of the entire Republican statewide ticket, but that fell apart after Reid and Youngkin's conversation. Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin defended his call to Republican nominee for lieutenant governor John Reid, who said the governor’s advisors are pushing him to drop out of the race amid claims about sexually explicit photos. Youngkin said he called Reid, the first openly gay man to run on the Republican statewide ticket, because he believes concerns about lewd photos distract from key topics. “Explicit social media content like this is a distraction. It’s a distraction for campaigns, and it’s a distraction from people paying attention to the most important issues,” he said Tuesday at an event on fentanyl awareness.
