Tumblr is adding yet another content monetization tool. The Tumblr Tip Jar is a way to appreciate content creators with small monetary rewards. Content creators will be able to keep all the amount they earn through this method. Just like the YouTube “Thanks” feature, the Tumblr Tip Jar allows viewers and subscribers to tip their favorite creators on the platform. The process involves clicking or tapping on the “Tip” button with a dollar sign on any post. Users can then choose the amount they want to give through their preferred payment channels. The Tumblr Tip Jar feature is limiting the reward amount to $100. Users can choose to send the money anonymously or add a message. Those choosing to send money can also see who else has sent tips on the same post. The new feature is currently available to users in the U.S., but the platform has indicated that more regions will be included soon. The most attractive aspect of Tumblr Tip Jar is that Tumblr will not take any commission from the payments. Payments will go through Stripe, and credit card fees will apply. Tumblr Tip Jar is the second monetization tool the platform has introduced in recent…

Bhubaneswar: The Maha Shivaratri will be held at the Lingaraj Temple in Odisha capital this year amid COVID restrictions. A decision in this regard was taken today at a meeting between the Khordha Collector and members of the Lingaraj Temple Trust Board. It was decided that the Mahadeepa will be placed atop the temple at 10 pm on the day of Maha Shivaratri. However, the decision regarding entry of devotees to the temple on Maha Shivaratri was yet to be taken while a discussion in this regard will be held later. Maha Shivaratri was also celebrated at the shrine with adherence to COVID protocol, last year. Worth mentioning, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has permitted the reopening of all religious institutions in the city for devotees from February 12. The civic body took the decision keeping in view the decline in daily COVID-19 cases. Also read– All Religious Institutions In Bhubaneswar To Reopen From Feb 12; Fresh Guidelines Issued.

“I don’t know if all of you knew this, but New York is the number-one tequila market in the world,” said Eva Longoria, addressing the intimate crowd clustered around a dinner table at GoldBar on Wednesday night. “You all drink a lot of tequila!” “We stay skinny that way,” chimed in a nearby guest. Longoria, who had flown in from Mexico a day earlier, was in town on official tequila business for Casa del Sol, her spirits brand. The trip culminated with a dinner in collaboration with L’Agence to celebrate the kickoff of New York Fashion Week. Guests included models Josephine Skriver and Sara Sampaio, Jenné Newton-Haydon, Robert Verdi, hairstylist Jennifer Yepez, and a small white dog with a pink box in its hair, peeking out from a handbag. Dinner, which was separated from the bar by a gold chain curtain, kicked off with a tequila tasting of the brand’s three varieties: blanco, reposado and añejo. “It’s no mistake we’re launching this tequila here in New York during fashion week, because fashion is a big part of our brand,” said Casa del Sol cofounder Steph Sebbag. Longoria noted that while she had been approached many times to do a tequila…

Tumblr is launching its second attempt at a monetization feature today. Rolling out in the U.S. now and soon globally, Tumblr Tips will let bloggers receive one-time payments from their supporters. Tumblr will not take a cut from these payments, though standard credit card fees (2.9% + $0.30) will apply. Tipping is available on web, iOS and Android, but the company told TechCrunch that Tumblr will not rely on the Apple and Google internal billing systems to facilitate mobile tips, which means that creators won’t lose an extra 30% to fees. When users tip a creator, they can write a note alongside the tip. Anonymous tips are allowed, but in that case, the tipper wouldn’t be able to leave a message. Fans can send tips of up to $100 each. This tip jar-like feature follows Tumblr’s launch of Post+ last fall, which enabled users to charge a monthly fee for access to exclusive posts — but Post+ wasn’t welcomed with open arms on the platform. Even though many popular Tumblr creators link to external Patreon or Ko-Fi accounts to monetize their content, users lashed out at the idea of housing monetization features on the platform. Some worried about the legality…

The teenager had earlier pleaded guilty to a single charge of transmitting obscene images. Two other similar charges were taken into consideration for his sentencing. The court heard that some time between April and May 2019, the teenager found out that at least…
