Things Get Wild in the New ‘Primate’ Clip – HorrorFuel.com

Paramount is about to turn your childhood memories of Curious George into a full-blown panic attack. The new horror-thriller Primate just dropped a new clip, and it’s a brutal reminder that some “pets” were never meant to live in the suburbs. Directed by Johannes Roberts—the man who trapped us underwater in 47 Meters Down—this film takes that same “no escape” energy and moves it from the bottom of the ocean to a locked-down living room. Think Cujo, but with a predator that can climb walls and open doors. The film features a compelling ensemble cast, including Johnny Sequoyah (“Landman”), Troy Kotsur (CODA), Jessica Alexander (The Little Mermaid), and Victoria Wyant. The Plot: When “Benny” Goes Bad Lucy (Johnny Sequoyah) heads home for break to relax with her dad (Academy Award winner Troy Kotsur) and some friends. The star of the family is Ben, their beloved pet chimpanzee who’s been part of the family for years. The nightmare kicks off when Ben contracts rabies during a pool party. In a matter of hours, the “sweet” chimp they dressed up in sweaters transforms into a hyper-violent engine of destruction. The family finds themselves barricaded inside their own home, playing a deadly game of hide-and-seek with a creature that knows

New Afghan Opium Routes: Reshaping Central Asian Crime. – SpecialEurasia

Executive Summary In 2022, the Taliban officially banned opium cultivation, causing a dramatic fall to 35% of the total production. Despite the collateral harm to local farmers, who in certain instances depend on it for survival, the sale of heroin and methamphetamine has not ceased in Central Asian countries. By examining international sources and research, this report seeks to demonstrate how the inability to control drug trafficking and its expansion in Central Asia presents another major challenge for the current de facto Taliban government, given its ramifications both within and beyond Afghanistan. Key Points Despite the ban of 2022 related the opium cultivation in Afghanistan, this activity remains one of the primary incomes for Afghan peasants. The opium seizure and its sale throughout Central Asian countries are relevant factors of instability. The Afghan Taliban remain incapable of resolving the tension between ethnic group identity and political authority. Background Information From its inception through the first seizure of national power in the 1990s, the Taliban movement utilised opium cultivation, heroin processing, and international trafficking as Afghanistan’s primary economic engine. Consequently, the initial Taliban regime oversaw nearly the entirety of global heroin production. By exploiting a sophisticated network of tribal allegiances and

Some popular social media apps might lose relevance in 2026: Discover the platforms and reasons

Some popular social media apps might lose relevance in 2026 The landscape of social media has changed dramatically over the past few years, and with the beginning of 2026 around the corner, uncertainty is engulfing some of the prominent platforms, and they might even lose relevance and become obsolete next year, owing to shifting user preferences. Throughout 2025, internet users reportedly were fatigued with social media platforms, and the global average daily time spent on social media decreased from approximately 145 minutes in 2023 to 141 minutes by Q3 2025. This trend was particularly observed among younger users, who are more attracted towards niche and private spaces, leading to low engagement rates across major platforms. Several established apps are undergoing stagnation or decline in key engagement metrics. Here are five social media platforms facing significant challenges: X (formerly Twitter): The Elon Musk-owned microblogging platform has seen a decline in users and advertisers.  Snapchat: Although Snapchat maintains a strong connection with Gen Z, its growth has slowed, with daily active users around 469 million. Georgia health officials map out $1.4 billion plan for new federal rural health funds

by Maya Homan, Georgia Recorder, December 24, 2025 State officials have introduced a $1.4 billion plan to improve rural health outcomes over the next five years under the federal Rural Health Transformation Program created as part of this summer’s budget reconciliation bill. In a 96-page application, officials from the state’s Department of Community Health requested funds to improve access to primary and specialty care in rural areas, strengthen telehealth infrastructure and recruit more health care providers across the state’s dozens of rural counties. “Our broader vision is that rural populations are healthier, live longer, have an improved quality of life, and can both live and work in the communities they love,” said Stuart Portman, Georgia’s Medicaid director, during the Board of Community Health meeting this month. Georgia’s rural counties face higher rates of poverty, heart disease and cancer than their urban counterparts, according to the state’s application for the program. Rural counties are also less likely to have pediatricians or OB/GYNs, and have lower rates of employee-sponsored health insurance. There are limits to how Georgia can use the money, however. Funding must be allocated according to the program’s guidelines
