From HBO Max to MS NOW: The Best and Worst Entertainment Rebrands of 2025

Now if only you could rebrand an entire year... Published on December 24, 2025 Casey Bloys, chairman and CEO, HBO and Max Content, speaks onstage during Warner Bros. Discovery’s 2025 upfront presentation. Photo by Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images for Warner Bros. Discovery 2025 has been a whirlwind year … for corporate rebranding shenanigans. From cable channels and streaming services to shows and some of America’s finest cultural institutions, there have never been more entertainment-adjacent rebrands in the history of Hollywood. Some make sense, some came out of nowhere, and some don’t really matter, but they did happen! Below, The Hollywood Reporter ranks the best, the worst, and the mid rebrands of the year. SAG Awards to The Actor Awards It’s not that The Screen Actors Guild Awards was a bad name (though SAG Awards doesn’t scream “fun!” like other award names do), but let’s face it, The Actor Awards is a big improvement. It is descriptive (it’s the award show for actors, presented by the actors union!). Will that make a difference for viewership when Netflix streams the next installment? Probably not, but when they hand out the statue, which is already called The Actor (synergy!), viewers will immediately know what’s

Persona 3 Reload on Switch 2 gets performance mode patch, targets 60 FPS – Vooks.net

The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Persona 3 Reload has received a new patch that increases the game performance in a number of areas.  The version 1.03 update now adds a performance mode for docked play that targets 60 FPS. That’s only targeting 60fps but should hopefully find it a lot smoother.  Both TV mode and Handheld mode also now have “improved framerate rate stability” independent of that performance mode. To see the changes, you can update the game now, or there is a new demo coming over the next few days with the updates.  Persona 3 Reload Version 1.03 patch notes Performance Mode (only available in TV Mode) – targets 60 FPS TV Mode and Handheld Mode – improved frame rate stability The Nintendo Switch 2 patch update for the free demo will take place in the coming days (exact time TBD) Persona 3 Reload is currently 15% off on the eShop until December 31st, 2025. In our review of the game, we said “Persona 3 Reload is a visually impressive remake that honours the original in many ways and enhances it in presentation. The graphics and animation are among the best the series has delivered so far, giving new life to a

How The Bluebird Café — an 86-Seat Room in a Strip Mall — Became Country’s Proving Ground

Trending on Billboard People have tried bribing their way into The Bluebird Cafe. For an independent venue tucked away in a Nashville strip mall, The Bluebird has folks trying to get in at all hours of the day just to get a peak at the storied space that has been instrumental in the careers of giants like Garth Brooks, Taylor Swift and many more. “I would be counting money on a Sunday morning and people would be banging on the door having to get in,” says Bluebird Cafe COO and GM Erika Wollam Nichols. “When I wouldn’t let them in, they came around the back and started waiving $20 bills at me and I’m like, ‘No!’” Related The enthusiasm would seem outsized for an 86-capacity club five miles outside of downtown Nashville that hasn’t seen much renovation beyond sound system upgrades and regularly changing the carpet. But – like many independent venues that have survived the turbulent live music industry for more than four decades – its allure is in the lore. Before any stars graced the stage, The Bluebird Cafe was a 100-seat restaurant opened by Amy Kurland in a former drugstore turned poolhall in 1982. According to Wollam

As Lebanon Advances Disarmament of Hezbollah, Israel Sees New War as ‘Inevitable’

Israeli and Lebanese officials meet again at ceasefire committee talks Superficially, one would think that there is substantial progress being made in Lebanon toward an enduring peace. Lebanese officials are advancing the disarmament of Hezbollah south of the Litani River, as required by the ceasefire, and Lebanese and Israeli officials have twice met in US-brokered talks surrounding that ceasefire. Israeli strikes on Lebanon have continued despite the ceasefire, but since Israel’s talking point has long been the need to disarm Hezbollah, and Lebanese officials now say they’ll have completed disarmament south of the Litani in a few days, this seems like it could be a turning point in the situation. US officials are reportedly contended that Lebanon is advancing on their obligations, but Israeli officials are quoted as saying they view another Israeli war against Lebanon as essentially “inevitable.” A view shows damaged buildings in the aftermath of what security sources said was an Israeli strike on a market, amid the ongoing hostilities between Hezbollah and Israeli forces, in Nabatieh, southern Lebanon, October 13, 2024. REUTERS/Mohammed Yassin This seemingly rests on Israeli narrative rather than reality. Officials say they don’t believe Lebanon is capable of disarming Hezbollah on their own

James Cameron Breaks Down That Horny ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ Tent Scene

Logo text It’s the Avatar: Fire and Ash scene critics and fans keep talking about: A sensual, druggy, S&M-tinged meeting between the film’s two big villains: Col. Miles Quaritch (Stephen Lang) and Ash People witch-queen Varang (Oona Chaplin). The sequence is not only eyebrow-raising by the family-friendly Avatar franchise standards, but also arguably the film’s most interesting and unpredictable exchange — and might even be director James Cameron‘s favorite. In the scene, Quaritch meets with Varang in her tent to try and convince the volatile Ash People leader to enter into an alliance. But Varang turns the tables on Quaritch, making him consume a hallucinogen and seductively cutting his chest with a knife. Cameron broke down the scene’s appeal during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter: “You have no idea what’s going to happen next, and they’re both fascinating characters and she’s mesmerizing in that scene. ‘Mesmerizing’ is the word that always comes to mind for me.” Continued Cameron: “I didn’t quite realize exactly what I’d written for that scene until I . Then I realized it’s a double seduction. He’s there to get her to do what he wants her to do, then it seems

Romania Announces Massive New Theme Park: Dracula Land – HorrorFuel.com

Move over, Disney—there’s a new king of the castle coming, and he’s got much sharper teeth. Plans were recently unveiled for Dracula Land, the world’s first and largest theme park dedicated to the legendary vampire, to be built just outside Bucharest, Romania. With a staggering €1 billion price tag, this isn’t just a small-town haunted house. It’s a massive, 780,000-square-meter immersive universe featuring 40 different attractions designed to blend dark folklore with world-class thrills. Exploring the Six Realms of Terror The park is divided into distinct “lands,” each offering a different slice of the supernatural: Transylvania: The heart of the park, featuring high-speed rollercoasters set against a backdrop of traditional villages and eerie forests. Dracula’s Castle: The “main event.” Visitors can explore the vampire’s home, navigate a spooky maze, and ride the “Bat Coaster” over a dark lake. The Family Kingdom: A more all-ages area that showcases supernatural creatures and vampire lore from cultures all around the globe. London Town: This zone whisks you back to the foggy, Victorian London of Bram Stoker’s novel. Expect a vampire-hunting parkour course, a “Globe Theatre” ship-swing, and classic horse-and-carriage rides. Port of New Orleans: It will feature a rollercoaster race with howling werewolves and

Game Review: ‘Fort Solis’ – HorrorFuel.com

Back in 2023, Fallen Leaf, Black Drakkar Games, and Dear Villagers released a sci-fi horror adventure game that took PlayStation and PC players to Mars. Today, Feardemic is bringing Xbox players to Fort Solis . Fort Solis  puts you in the boots of Jack and Jessica, two engineers working on Mars, when an alert comes over their coms from Fort Solis, an antiquated base. After arriving to investigate, Jack soon finds the base to be completely abandoned…or is it? Now, onto the game itself! When it comes to controls, it’s minimal; just be prepared to notice that the characters will continue to move a step or two after you stop on the controller. The one major bummer is that there’s no “Run” button, but I’ll get to that later. Sond design and soundtrack, they nailed it. The voice talent of the game’s three main characters, played by Roger Clark, Julia Brown, and the legendary VO actor Troy Baker. All gave great performances that added to their characters, including the other members of the voice cast. When it comes to the game’s graphics and art, that was the selling point for me; the graphics are amazing, but one issue I’ve noticed
