YouTube Announces Intention to Withdraw Data From Billboard’s Charts

The change, which YouTube says will take effect in January, will mean that YouTube withdraws its data from all of Billboard's U.S. and global charts. Pavlo Gonchar/SOPA Images/LightRocket via Getty Images Trending on Billboard YouTube said in a blog post today (Dec. 17) that it intended to withdraw its streaming data from all of Billboard’s charts, effective Jan. 16 (for the charts dated Jan. 31). The blog post comes in the wake of Billboard’s announcement yesterday (Dec. 16) of a change to chart methodology that will continue to weigh subscription streams more favorably than ad-supported streams, in a bid to better reflect changing consumer behaviors and the increased revenue derived from streaming in the industry. The change means that paid/subscription streams will be weighted against ad-supported streams at a 1:2.5 ratio, narrowed from the previous 1:3 ratio. Related Effective of the Jan. 17-dated charts — reflecting data from Jan. 2 to Jan. 8 — the Billboard 200 and other genre album consumption charts will reflect that an album consumption unit will equal 2,500 ad-supported streams or 1,000 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams from songs on an album. Previously, an album consumption unit had equaled 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand streams

Checking out the collaboration between GUNNAR Optiks and Alienware – HorrorFuel.com

With the holidays upon us, you may be looking for the perfect gift for the gamer on your list. Our friends at GUNNAR Optiks got you and your gamer’s eyes covered! This time, Gunnar has teamed up with one of the legendary names in PC Gaming, Alienware, to help players to keep gaming this holiday season. In case you’re not familiar with what Gunnar does, Gunnar Optiks manufactures glasses that protect your eyes from the blue light emitted by the screens of monitors, phones, computers, and TVs. Their glasses are used by gaming industry professionals, animation studios (such as DreamWorks), eSports athletes, and even the military —pretty much anyone who has to stare at screens for hours. I present to you the Roswell by Gunnar and Alienware. These wrap-around style frames allow a panoramic view. The frames themselves are light polymer that’s comfortable for hours of use. The arms rest comfortably against my head. The entire frame surprisingly feels sturdy regardless of the look. Along with the frames comes a microfiber cleaning cloth, a 12 month warrenty, and probably my favorite: a puffy carrying pouch that proudly displays the Alienware logo, which is also visible on the frames.

Epstein’s victims deserve more attention than his ‘client list’ – Cobb Courier

by Stephanie A. (Sam) Martin, Boise State University, The Jeffrey Epstein story has slipped in and out of the headlines for years, but in a very particular way. Most news articles ask a specific question – which powerful men might be on “the list”? Headlines focus on unidentified elites and who may be exposed or embarrassed, rather than on the people whose suffering made the case newsworthy in the first place: the girls and young women Epstein abused and trafficked. Right now, the story is entering a new phase. A federal judge has authorized the Justice Department to unseal grand jury transcripts and other evidence from Epstein companion Ghislaine Maxwell’s sex trafficking case. A court in Florida has cleared the release of grand jury records from a federal investigation into Epstein himself, all under the new Epstein Files Transparency Act. Passed in November 2025, that law gives the Justice Department 30 days to release nearly all Epstein-related files. The deadline is Dec. 19. Journalists and the public are watching to see what those documents will reveal beyond names we already know, and whether a long-rumored client list will finally materialize.

Team Cherry has announced that Hollow Knight: Silksong will be getting a free DLC expansion in 2026 in a new teaser posted to YouTube. The new expansion, subtitled Sea of Sorrow, seems to be set in a windy oceanside locale, and the teaser shows a strange, glass orb that appears to be attracting lightning, while big dragonfly-like wings poke out around it. We’re sure the Hollow Knight lore fanatics will have some idea of what this could be, but for everyone else, new content is new content and that’s reason enough to be excited, especially when it’s free. Team Cherry has said in a blog post that the “nautically themed expansion” will include new areas, tools, and more, much like the various free expansions that were released for Hollow Knight throughout its life. Speaking of the original Hollow Knight, that’s also getting some love in the form of a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. This new upgrade for Hollow Knight will have all of the enhancements seen in the Switch 2 Edition of Silksong, including higher frame rate modes, higher resolutions, additional graphical effects, and likely faster load times. A patch for both the original Switch version and the Switch 2
