D’Angelo’s Steamy ‘Untitled (How Does It Feel)’ Video, as Remembered by Its Director

News of D’Angelo’s passing at 51 from pancreatic cancer unlocked a torrent of cherished memories for fans of the soul crooner, and none more so than his breakthrough music video for “Untitled (How Does It Feel)” from his 2000 album Voodoo. Starkly shot against a black backdrop, D’Angelo, his frame athletic and taut, sported nothing more than a gold chain and crucifix as he relayed the sensual slow-burn of the R&B single. It was a rare moment of male objectification in pop music — and it won him legions of new fans in the process. The director of that video, Paul Hunter, caught up with The Hollywood Reporter to walk through the making of that groundbreaking cultural moment. Like a lot of people, I’m sure, the first thing I thought of when I heard of D’Angelo’s passing was your video for “Untitled (How Does it Feel).” How did that come about? I worked with D’Angelo’s manager who, Dominique Trenier, who had the idea. We worked on it and shot it. What was the concept? Just make him sexy? No, it was more just about capturing his performance in a stripped-down way. It was unfiltered, the audience front and center, capturing

Black Phone 2 Review | Flickreel

Scott Derrickson turned in one of the creepiest commercial horror films of recent memory with The Black Phone, which played like an adaptation of an overlooked Stephen King story. Actually, King’s son, Joe Hill, wrote the source material. Where the first film called the Kings to mind, Black Phone 2 plays like the best A Nightmare on Elm Street movie since Wes Craven was running the show. This isn’t out of the blue, as bad dreams also played an integral role last time. Black Phone 2 is a natural evolution of its predecessor, expanding upon the lore in ways that feel carefully planned out. Four years doesn’t seem like a long time, but Mason Thames and Madeleine McGraw certainly sprouted up since 2021. Finney and Gwen are now teenagers, although they’re still grappling with their trauma. Gwen’s lucid dreams have been taken to the next level, causing her to sleepwalk. Finney has been getting mysterious phone calls from beyond, yet he resists answering. In a bit of clever casting, Miguel Mora, who played Finney’s late friend Robin in the first film, returns as his nerdy brother Ernesto. You wouldn’t guess it’s the same kid, as Mora has also grown up.

The Neighborhood Final Season: What’s Ahead Before CBS Comedy Series Finale – TVLine

CBS on Monday welcomed audiences back to The Neighborhood for its eighth and final season — and life on the block looks a little different. Calvin and Tina are adjusting to their newly empty nest — even though, technically, they’ve been empty-nesters since Season 3 — now that Malcolm has put down roots in Venice and Courtney has officially moved in with Marty; Gemma’s facing her own adjustment now that Grover has graduated from Walcott Academy; and AI-enthusiast Dave has managed to train machines to replace him at the V.A. — launching a multi-episode arc for Calvin’s BFF. “We’re tormenting that poor guy like a piñata,” co-showrunner Bill Martin says of Dave’s Season 8 storyline. “He gets into pickling… he’s gotta find things to do with his time.” Max Greenfield as Dave, Beth Behrs as Gemma and Hank Greenspan as Grover Monty Brinton/CBS The same could be said for Gemma, who’s confronting her own existential shake-up. “As luck would have it, Hank Greenspan is high-school age, which worked well for the show because it’s time finally graduates from Gemma’s school and goes to a school,” Martin explains. “So now Gemma — in addition to going, ‘I’ve had my

‘SNL’ Aubrey Plaza ‘The Hunting Wives’ Season 2 Video – TVLine

Season 2 of The Hunting Wives looks pretty steamy… at least according to Saturday Night Live‘s parody. This week’s SNL took aim at the Netflix hit — described as “the straight but lesbian horny Republican murder drama” — with a fake trailer for Season 2, with host Amy Poehler leading a cast of naughty Texas housewives who keep finding themselves in erotic situations. “Thighs will be squeezed,” the narrator told us, and “guns will be drawn.” As Poehler’s Margo gave Chloe Fineman’s Sophie a hands-on lesson in how to make margaritas, the narrator read off quotes from critics such as, “It’s like Call Me by Your Name for women who shop at Bass Pro Shop” and “It’s like if The L Word took place in Yellowstone. This show has healed our nation.” But the Season 2 trailer also introduced a new character, played by Poehler’s Parks and Recreation co-star Aubrey Plaza. She just moved here from California, and the ladies welcomed her with open arms — until they found out she’s actually gay. They pulled guns on her in horror: “This is Texas!” Press PLAY above to watch the sketch in full, and let us know what you thought of this week’s

I’d Dye My Hair Pink Too – Yale Daily News

Esmeralda Vasquez-Fernandez 8:07 pm, Oct 10, 2025 Contributing Reporter Millennials did one thing right: indie sleaze. I wanted to be them, with their Tumblr accounts, their peak Coachella trips, and overwhelming sense of authenticity. They were cool. There was a wide gap between a Karen and a millennial. At least I thought. It was the Fourth of July in a SoCal beach town, so I was playing the most overzealous music I know: indie-sleaze. The soundscape of the ice cream joint where I worked was a blend of incessant customer chatter and vocalist Michael Angelakos’ falsetto. Only “Sleepyhead” could make me forget that I had been running on canned cold brew and stolen samples of gelato the entire summer. Standing behind the gelato case, I noticed how customers leaned forward, pressing on the glass — as though I were an artist they’d been dying to see. Instinctively, they craved closeness to what they wanted. Join the club. “Can I get a strawberry swirl sundae?”  A 30-year-old man was asking me this question. He was millennial. Very millennial. I instantly recoiled. His dated style reminded me of my elder sister’s equally millennial white mug. On the side of the mug, in
