Patrick Sammon, Hubert Kos, and Ilya Kharun Looking To Grow Swimming With A New Audience

Patrick Sammon, Hubert Kos , and Ilya Kharun have teamed up in hopes of growing the sport of swimming with a different audience. The three have turned to the live streaming platform Twitch. Sammon, Kos, and Kharun were teammates at Arizona State together, before Kos followed Bob Bowman in summer 2024 to Texas. All three swam at the 2025 World Championships with Sammon representing the US, Kos swam for Hungary, and Kharun represented Canada. Sammon said that the three originally got the idea from streamer Jynxzi. “We kind of started because we’ve already been playing together for out of so many years now and we’re just like I guess we’re kind of inspired from one of the creators called Jynxzi…we  thought it be kind of fun to showcase what we like to do outside the pool and maybe even make some sort of money through live streaming as well.” The three are “trying to reach out or get like swimming noticed other than other like the main like swim, swim and use a swimming bike through those sites so we’re trying to kind of branch out and your audience,” Sammon said. “That way people who aren’t really that well informed

Summit1g: Why the Streamer Still Matters in 2026 – Ad-hoc-news.de

Summit1g remains a key figure in Twitch and gaming culture, even as the platform and audience evolve around him. Summit1g, real name Jaryd Lazar, is one of the most recognizable faces in the Twitch ecosystem, especially for viewers who grew up watching live gaming content over the last decade. Even in 2026, when the streaming landscape has shifted dramatically with new platforms, formats, and creators, Summit1g still holds a distinct place in the conversation. You might know him from his long runs on Twitch, his chaotic Fortnite and Apex Legends streams, or his infamous Just Chatting segments that often feel like a mix of stand?up, therapy session, and meme factory. What makes Summit1g interesting right now is not a single viral moment or comeback, but the way his career mirrors how streaming culture has changed. When he first blew up, Twitch was still figuring out its identity. Now, it’s a mainstream entertainment hub, and Summit1g has adapted without fully conforming. He’s still loud, still unfiltered, and still willing to lean into the awkward or uncomfortable parts of live content, which keeps his audience engaged even as younger viewers gravitate toward more polished or niche creators. For you as a viewer

GameStop’s $56B offer for eBay – SuperJoost Playlist

Last week, I had the distinct privilege of hosting a fireside with Nintendo’s former president and COO for the United States, Reggie Fils-Aimé. As the grand finale of my Spring semester at Stern, I co-hosted this event with Naomi Clark from the NYU Game Center and Mitu Khandaker from the Game Design Future Lab. It was a blast. You can watch our conversation in its entirety on Twitch, or read about some of the highlights here , here , and here . One of my favorite parts was Reggie’s account of how Nintendo sees the world. As a firm founded in 1889, it has seen more than its fair share of societal shifts, to say the least. Given that Nintendo added 500 people in

On the 34th day of his journey, Thomas was struck by a vehicle during a live broadcast while traveling through Indiana. Authorities reported that he was walking along a highway while a supporter followed him in a Mazda. Another driver rear-ended that vehicle, causing it to hit Thomas, sending him airborne. The 82-year-old driver who rear-ended the Mazda and their minor passenger were both hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries, The Christian Post reported.
