Amouranth is a pretty controversial and influential streamer in the Twitch community, to say the least. Last month, a new episode in Vice's "My Online Life" series focused on Amouranth, who revealed some secrets of her trade. In the video, Amouranth shared details about her inner world and the loneliness of streaming, as well as stats on her internet empire — which she said makes about $1.5 million a month between her various social accounts that pull in revenue. That's not all she talked about, either. In the video, she explained why some Twitch bans are hypocritical, especially against women. Amouranth pointed out that Twitch has a massive problem when it comes to banning many creators because of sexual content. While there are plenty of bogus bans that have happened on the platform, Twitch has an issue with consistency when it comes to women's bodies, in her opinion. She explained that Twitch shouldn't be banning women for embracing their bodies when plenty of popular and massively streamed games constantly sexualize women, citing games like "Dead or Alive" and "Grand Theft Auto."…

Amouranth Wants Twitch to Be More Transparent About Bans – Game Rant

Kaitlyn ‘Amouranth’ Siragusa is tired of Twitch streamers having to guess why they are getting banned and wants the platform to be more forthcoming. One of the most popular Twitch streamers on the platform is getting a bit fed up having to try and guess why she keeps receiving bans. Kaitlyn "Amouranth" Siragusa is now calling on Twitch to be quite a bit more transparent when it comes to the cause of someone being suspended or banned. Amouranth is certainly not the first person to want to better explanations for when she or her colleagues get banned. When Dr. Disrespect, one of the most popular streamers on the platform, left Twitch after being banned for a mystery reason, he reportedly took months to find out what he had done that warranted the punishment. Others, who may not have faced such severe sanctions still tend to claim they have no idea why they've been banned, whether it's for a few hours, days, or weeks. Twitch has started changing up how it deals with bans as the platform has started telling people the date of the stream they are receiving punishment for as well as the title of the stream. That can…

Pokimane calls out sexist double standards Twitch fans set for female streamers – Gamepur

Screenshot via Pokimane’s Twitch channel Imane “Pokimane” Anys has criticized Twitch fans for setting sexist double standards for female streamers, including herself. Per Dexerto, while the 25-year-old streamer has been subjected to hate raids and harassment so far this year, Pokimane said that most of the abuse she receives is misogynistic in nature. On Saturday, she slammed viewers on her stream who hold attractiveness against female streamers as if being attractive in the first place is immoral. “Why is it that people like to hold how attractive someone is against them? People would only be like your viewers only like the way they look, and they want to f**k you. For starters, that’s rude and gross. Nobody asked,” Pokimane said in a clip of her latest stream. She added that attractiveness isn’t a huge issue even if someone does find a female streamer “hot.” To point out the double standard, Pokimane claims that famous male actors, especially those who star in teen dramas like Riverdale, Never Have I Ever…, and Cobra Kai, have fanbases filled with girls who fawn over them, yet no one tells them how cute their fanbase thinks they are. Meanwhile, female streamers have to put up…
