News Star Citizen developer Cloud Imperium Games released a video about the upcoming Alpha 3.15, while the crowdfunding total keeps growing. Image via Rudeism on Twitch Twitch streamer and custom controller creator Rudeism beat Dark Souls 3 on stream earlier today using a homemade, single-buttoned controller that mapped the game’s inputs to Morse code. The streamer started his run two months ago on August 20 and defeated all 19 of the base game’s bosses, according to a celebratory tweet by Rudeism. During Rudeism’s run, the streamer’s Morse code inputs were visible via a log in the upper-right-hand corner of the stream. According to the streamer, an on-screen counter also tracked how many times Rudeism pressed the one button he was afforded; 258,250 button presses were counted by the game’s end. 14-year old Twitch streamer Rayan ‘General Sniper’ Shoura has just broken the record for the most amount of solo queue LP ever attained on the North American LoL server. It’s not the first time we have heard of Gen. Sniper. Back in 2020 a then even younger Shoura signed up to esports team Cloud9 but pretty much before the tweet had landed the contract was instantly terminated when it turns out you have to be 15 to be a streamer signed to a team. Nice faux pas for all concerned. Anyway, not to be put off by that General Sniper continued playing League of Legends on Twitch and climbed to the top of the League solo queue, taking the record from Team Liquid’s CoreJJ who nabbed the record for himself back in June of this year. To be at the top of the tree at such a young age bodes well as pro contracts are now just around the corner where Sniper could well join his older brother V1per, who is already in the pro ranks at Immortals Academy. To celebrate World Esports Day on Saturday 23rd October, the Burnley FC Esports Team will stream for the majority of the day between the hours of 7am (Saturday) and 1am (Sunday) World Esports Day is spreaheaded by the British Esports Association and is a global celebration of esports, which aims to unite the community and celebrate all things competitive gaming, from the tournaments to streams, games and players themselves, and everything in-between. World Esports Day isn’t just about celebrating esports, it’s about coming together to raise money for a variety of good causes. After raising money for Special Effect in last year’s event, this year the selected charity is COVAX. COVID-19 Vaccines Global Access, abbreviated as COVAX, is a worldwide initiative aimed at access to COVID-19 vaccines directed by Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations, and the World Health Organization. In light of the pandemic, British Esports decided it was best to support this charity in its journey to provide COVID-19 vaccinations to countries all around the world. Can we survive the night? Now it REALLY feels like spooky season. We’re almost there, and just in time, a scary game has dropped today! The newest addition to The Dark Pictures Anthology, House of Ashes, is ready to play. I’ve had lots of experience with scary games as well as the others in this series, so I’m looking forward to seeing what’s in store for us tonight and guessing what types of scares they’ll use. I’ve stayed in the dark so I’m completely blind and haven’t even seen the trailer or anything! What better way is there to spend a chilly October night than playing spoopy games with you?
