Mario 3 will have the spotlight tonight! After a well-rested week off for vacation/birthday, the Stevetendo show is back; better than ever, for the long haul. Tonight on the program we're playing one of my all-time favorite games, Super Mario Bros 3. That being said, this will be a "no power-ups" run of Super Mario 3, which makes the game that much tougher. For those who aren't aware, a no power-ups run is playing through the game without collecting power-ups like the mushroom for example. I have attempted a no power-ups run in the past but haven't be able to complete it. Twitch streamer Corey ‘TheBlackHokage’ Smallwood had what many consider the perfect response to being targeted by a racist hate raid. Creators on Twitch have had to deal with racist bots and so-called ‘hate raids’ for over a week now. Despite large numbers of them begging the platform to do something, it’s still happening all over. One of the latest streamers to get targeted was TheBlackHokage. But, it seems he’s had a plan to deal with just this type of incident. The Elder Scrolls Online is one of several Bethesda games that’ll be featured during next week’s QuakeCon event, and for those active in the game who plan on watching QuakeCon 2021, you’ll be able to score some free loot for doing so. Bethesda announced this week that it plans to enable Twitch Drops during select QuakeCon streams which will award players with at least two known items. They might call for gay people to be publicly executed, or declare that a channel belongs to the KKK. That last one was directed at a streamer called Rek It Raven, who then asked for Twitch to provide better tools to combat hate-raiding and other attacks on marginalized streamers with the hashtag #TwitchDoBetter.
