Is Twitter Preparing To Take On YouTube And Twitch?

Twitter (NYSE: TWTR) has become a cornerstone for many to stay informed about the news and events of the world. Founded in 2006, it has been on a long journey towards monetization, finally turning a profit for the first time in 2018. Today, monetization remains one of the key performance indicators when it comes to earnings season. They reported 199 million monetizable daily active users (mDAUs) vs a forecast of 200 million in their most recent earnings report. Not a bad miss which represents 20% YoY growth. However, as the market doesn’t seem to favor anything growth or speculative at the moment, the stock was sold off bringing it not far from its IPO price of $44.90. The stock sits at around $52 at the time of this article. Quite often, people are bearish about the prospects of Twitter, possibly due to its struggles with profitability and its poor track record of trying to grow its revenue through notable acquisitions such as Vine and Periscope. Twitter recently launched their newest feature, Tip Jar, which allows Twitter users to donate to their favorite accounts - following in the footsteps of many other platforms in giving users and creators the power to…

Shroud Wants the Judge Dropped from Valorant

In a recent Twitch stream, Michael "Shroud" Grzesiek argued that Valorant developer Riot Games needs to remove the Judge shotgun. The streamer found himself frustrated when he was abruptly taken out by a player using the weapon. Shroud is not the first person to argue that the weapon is overpowered, as many Valorant players have voiced similar complaints. Clearly, Shroud was caught up in the heat of the moment, and it will be interesting to see whether or not his stance on the weapon will change over time. It's possible this was just frustration due to the heat of the moment! "Literally, Riot, click the button. Delete. That’s it. Just get rid of them. Just get rid of them. It’s that simple," Shroud said during the stream.Shroud was picked off by an opponent after placing the spike. The streamer scanned the area for opponents, and was in the middle of engaging with one when a quick enemy jumped into the area, immediately taking him out. It was an awesome move by the opposing player, but it's not so great for the one on the receiving end!For those unfamiliar with the Judge, it's the most expensive shotgun in Valorant, setting players…

The platform saw 17.6 million stateside installs in 2020 (up 91% from 2019), and in the first quarter of 2021, has hit 5 million U.S.-based downloads, up 61% from around 3 million in Q1 2020. India is currently Twitch’s largest area of growth. Indian users installed Twitch 2.2 million times…

Daniel Teggart’s body was riddled with 14 bullets. Most hit him in his back as he lay injured on the ground. Joan Connolly was left to die a slow and lonely death in a field after being shot. It was several hours before anyone could reach her and, by then, it was too late. Most of these people died so suddenly they probably did not even
