Charlotte FC’s Wilfried Zaha Responds to Fan Criticism on Snapchat After Loss

Wilfried Zaha is not the happiest player at Charlotte FC, it seems.  After a 1–0 loss to the New England Revolution on Saturday, in a game Charlotte otherwise dominated, Zaha lashed out at fans on social media, upset with the criticisms directed at him from the match and his form with Charlotte FC.  The former English Premier League star is a Designated Player at Charlotte FC, on loan from Turkey’s Galatasaray, and has helped the team become one of the most attacking and entertaining in the league. Despite the loss to New England, Charlotte created ample scoring opportunities but struggled to finish.  “Typical. We lost a game and somehow it's Zaha's fault,” he posted to his Snapchat story. “I dribble ..I'm selfish. I keep it simple.. I'm not doing what I'm being paid to do. I shoot.. I should passed. I pass.. I should finish my chances.” “I usually wouldn’t reply to this stupid--but I'm not a scapegoat for people to waffle about in at clubs anymore. Zaha this, Zaha that, but we had the best start ever and been 1st in the league, so please stop chapping, especially my name.” Charlotte FC’s DP Wilfried Zaha isn’t happy with

Image by David Wall / Getty ImagesWhen it comes to battling demons trapped inside your loved ones, maybe it's best to leave it to the professionals.Take that from Alexander Valdez, a 23-year-old man accused of murdering his mother in a botched DIY exorcism in Fort Worth, Texas last week.Police rolled up to Valdez' house a little after midnight last Friday, tipped off about a "satanic ritual" which he allegedly recorded and sent to his friends on Snapchat. When officers knocked on his front door, a nonchalant Valdez emerged, coated in blood and clutching a bible."It was an exorcism," he told police calmly, before allegedly adding — contradictively? — that "I was doing witchcraft to kill my mom."Asked if there was anybody else in the house, Valdez apparently admitted "there is a dead body in there. It's my mom."The cops then searched the house, where they indeed found the body of the man's mother, 58-year-old Teresita Sayson, as well as that of the family's dog."Thank goodness for the people that were on Snapchat that said that he wanted to do this satanic ritual," Tracy Carter of the Fort Worth Police Department said, referring to the anonymous tipsters who passed the alleged

Florida Sues Snapchat For Allegedly Violating New Child Social Media Law | 1290 WJNO

Photo: stockcam / iStock Unreleased / Getty ImagesFLORIDA - Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier has filed a lawsuit against Snap Inc., claiming the company is violating a new state law designed to limit social media access for children under 16. The legal complaint, filed in Santa Rosa County, alleges that Snapchat is providing accounts to users under age 14 and failing to obtain parental consent for those aged 14 and 15, actions that allegedly breach House Bill 3, passed in 2024. The law prohibits children under 14 from creating social media accounts and requires parental approval for teens aged 14 and 15. Although the law does not name specific platforms, it applies to those that include addictive elements such as algorithms, content feeds, and disappearing messages. The lawsuit asserts that Snapchat’s push notifications and disappearing content qualify it under the statute. According to the filing, Snap allegedly continues to allow minors to join the app without proper age verification or parental consent, which the state argues amounts to deceptive trade practices under Florida law. The complaint seeks penalties of up to $50,000 per violation and a court order to halt the company’s alleged noncompliance. Snap Inc. has not publicly responded.
