Arrest warrants issued on July 16, 2026, charge Mathew S. Hooper with two counts of Soliciting Sexual Exploitation of a Minor by Electronic Means. Key Details of the Investigation According to the arrest warrants, the alleged offenses occurred between June 1, 2026, and June 30, 2026. Investigators state that Hooper, an adult, used the social media platform Snapchat to solicit and exchange explicit material with a minor victim. Explicit Content Exchanged: Authorities allege Hooper intentionally coerced the minor victim into engaging in offensive sexual activity and sending videos of the acts to him electronically. Additionally, Hooper is accused of sending explicit photos of himself to the child during the same timeframe. Evidence Recovery: The communications and media were initially discovered by the minor’s grandmother. Law enforcement investigators subsequently retrieved the evidence directly from the child’s cellular device.
