(WPTV) — Two teens were arrested early Thursday morning after posting a threat on social media to "shoot up" Martin County High School in southern Florida, authorities said.According to an arrest report, several students in a Snapchat group saw the post late Wednesday night. It reportedly showed a young man holding a handgun, along with the caption, " county I'm gonna shoot up the school."Those students notified their parents, who then called 911.Around 3 a.m. Thursday, deputies took two teens, ages 17 and 13, into custody. Authorities said the older teen is the one who posed with the weapon.Martin County Chief Deputy John Budensiek said the 13-year-old admitted to investigators the gun was his. READ MORE: ‘Battlefield 2042’ preview: cracking fun, but oversimplified As reported by BBC News, these platforms – which include Twitch, TikTok, Snapchat, and Vimeo – must take “appropriate measures” to protect users from content related to terrorism, child sexual abuse, and racism, with the regulator claiming, “a third of users have seen hateful content on such sites.” Under the new rules, sites like Twitch will have to provide and effectively enforce clear rules for uploading content, make the reporting and complaints process easier, and restrict access to adult content with robust age-verification. Those found breaching the guidelines will be subjected to fines, while serious cases may result in suspension of the entire service. LEWISTOWN, Mont. - One person was arrested after the Lewistown Police Department received a complaint from a parent about their underage daughter being solicited for prostitution.The exchange took place over the social media app Snapchat.
