First technologies emerge, and then they converge. Blockchain and extended reality technologies have been knocking on one another’s doors for a while now and doors are starting to open. Snapchat owner Snap Inc (NYSE: SNAP) shares have risen over 350% in the last year. Analysts think there could be more opportunities for the company with its growth in social commerce and younger demographic. The Snap Analysts: Wedbush analyst Ygal Arounian upgraded shares of Snap Inc. from Neutral to Outperform and raised the price target from $52 to $75. Bank of America analyst Justin Post maintains a Neutral rating and price target of $67 for Snap. Advertising Strength: “We see Snap uniquely positioned as a video-centric platform, with an augmented reality and social commerce opportunity, also centered around a younger, digitally native audience,” Arounian said. Snap has improving momentum coming out of the pandemic with its younger audience being attractive to advertisers, the analyst notes. Snap more than doubled its advertiser count year-over-year in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2020 and reached its highest number of advertisers to date. “The strength in advertisers is an inflection point for Snap in our view as its product investments are bearing fruit.” Snap is focused on video content for advertisers and has been pushing with augmented reality. CAMANCHE, Iowa (KWQC) - A 19-year-old Camanche man faces felony charges after police say he sexually abused a 10-year-old girl.Courts records show Nicholas Lee Campie made an initial appearance Friday in Clinton County Court. He is charged with two counts of second-degree sexual abuse, a Class B felony punishable by 25 years in prison, and enticing a minor younger than 13, a Class C felony punishable by 10 years in prison.Court records show he waived his right to a preliminary hearing and will be arraigned on April 29.He remained in the Clinton County Jail Wednesday on a $50,000 cash-only bond.On May 14, a report was made to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office regarding sexual contact between a 10-year-old girl and Campie, then 18, according to arrest affidavits.According to the affidavits:The girl’s parent saw text messages between her and a contact in her phone saved as “Nick.”Her phone was turned over to the sheriff’s department, and her parent provided them with screenshots of a text message exchange.The girl said she began speaking with Campie after he added her on Snapchat. Four girls between the ages of 12 and 14 allegedly started a fire and filmed it on Snapchat because they were “bored,” according to Pennsylvania police. The girls, a 12-year-old from Richland School District, two 14-year-olds from the Greater Johnstown School District and a 14-year-old from Ferndale Area School District, face multiple charges in juvenile court of felony arson, causing catastrophe, trespassing and endangering another person, according to the Tribune-Democrat. On April 3, the girls allegedly used bug spray and Lysol to spark a blaze at an unoccupied house in Ferndale Borough. “They placed a shoebox on the couch and threw lit pieces of paper into the box that had been sprayed with accelerant,” Chief John Blake said, according to the outlet. The girls reportedly told police that they “were bored.” One of the girls shared video of them starting the fire on Snapchat, and other photos of them at the scene watching their alleged handiwork also appeared on social media.
