Rolled out in the latest App Store stable build (version 26.27.74), the software tweak places a direct shortcut to Apple’s native voice-processing system right onto the active communication layout. While iPhone owners have technically been able to toggle these microphone tools since the debut of iOS 15, the option was hidden inside the top-right swipe-down Control Center drawer, causing many users to overlook its existence. By implementing an explicit entry point inside the ongoing call panel, WhatsApp enables users to modify their noise environment with minimal friction. Apple TV and Apple Music for Android are rolling out sizable updates today, with homescreen widgets as the shared theme. Apple TV 2.5 introduces three widgets that add the “Continue watching” carousel from the top of the main tab to your homescreen. Apple TV Small shows one episode/movie, while Medium doubles that. Apple TV Large features bigger artwork for the first item alongside a scrollable list to browse. Tapping immediately starts playback. The widgets aren’t resizable and match what’s available on iOS. Version 2.5 for Apple TV is rolling out now via the Play Store. On a related note, Apple Music 6.5 is widely rolling out today. It’s a big jump from version 5.2 and might be Apple synchronizing its numbering to match iOS releases (26.5 is the current stable on the iPhone). This update adds two new widgets. The population of humpback whales around the world continues to climb ever higher, as do the records for numbers of sightings in single whale-watching seasons. In Brazil’s renowned Guanabara Bay, whale watching trips are becoming popular thanks to an increase in the population of humpbacks from 2,000 in 1986, to around 35,000 today. Every year, the giant marine mammals migrate from Antarctic feeding grounds to warmer waters to breed. The population that passes Guanabara and Rio de Janeiro head towards Abrolhos Bank, a coral reef region spanning the coasts of the Brazilian states of Bahia and Espirito Santo, one of the most biodiverse areas of the Atlantic.
