WhatsApp to let users turn images into stickers instantly – Geo News

A person uses emojis in their chat while using WhatsApp on a smartphone in this unated image. — AFP/File WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature that allows users to quickly create and copy stickers from images, currently available to some beta testers. The Meta-owned messaging and video calling platform said that the feature would be available to more users over the coming days. In its latest update, WhatsApp is introducing a new shortcut to make sticker creation more seamless. When users tap on an image, a dedicated sticker menu appears with two options. The first lets users open the sticker editor to create a sticker, where they can choose from different variations, as they normally do.  Consequently, this shortcut opens the sticker editor, and performs the same action already available through the overflow menu. The second option available in the menu allows users to copy the sticker, and it is the most interesting one, according to Wabetainfo. Instead of opening the sticker editor where users can choose from multiple variations, WhatsApp will automatically select the most suitable option as the sticker. After this selection, WhatsApp presents a bottom sheet that offers several actions. Users can add it to their

WhatsApp adds AI message summaries – AzerNews

by Alimat Aliyeva In a recent TestFlight beta build of the WhatsApp app for Apple iOS, references were discovered to a new feature that will allow users to view AI-generated summaries of unread messages, AzerNEWS reports. At present, WhatsApp already offers basic message summarization for individual chats. However, the upcoming update appears to introduce a more unified system — a single “unread messages summary” tool that works across all conversations. When users select the “Unread” filter in the Chats tab, a “Get Summary” button is expected to appear at the top of the screen. The feature is reportedly powered by a system described as “Private Processing,” which is designed to generate summaries while preserving user privacy. According to the description, messages would be processed in a way that prevents direct exposure of content, while still producing a clear overview of what the user has missed. The development is currently ongoing for both iOS and Android versions of the app, suggesting that Meta is preparing a broader rollout or at least an expanded public beta test. No official release date has been announced yet. Interestingly, this move reflects a wider trend across messaging platforms: integrating AI not just for chatbots or

Abortion via WhatsApp: When ‘safety’ is just a slogan – Pregnancy Help News

Share this: | | Editor's note: From Carlos Polo with Population Research Institute:  Just how easy is it to obtain the abortion pill, even in countries where it is illegal? PRI’s Latin American office decided to find out. We called up the abortion network DKT International via WhatsApp, answered a few questions, and a few days later the dangerous abortion drugs showed up on our doorstep: a neat package with misoprostol, mifepristone, and painkillers, along with instructions on how to abort our “baby.”       We passed the information along to the well-known Mexican journalist Pablo Mier y Terán. He wrote the following story exposing the abortion network DKT International and the inhumane way it profits from the distress of pregnant women.  Pablo’s article was published on March 30, 2026, on the Mexican digital portal SDP Noticias. It describes how the abortion portal “captures a woman’s vulnerability, demands payment, and transfers the risk to her home.” And to her, we might add. The article, which has created a firestorm in Mexico, is reprinted in full below.  ( Population Research Institute ) Everything begins with a text. Not a medical consultation, not a clinical appointment, not a professional evaluation. Just a text.  That is how today, for

Trump’s ‘one-man WhatsApp group’ diplomacy derailing Iran peace talks – The Guardian

Donald Trump’s blend of threats and hubristic commentary, often casually dismissive of Iran, has, as much as the continuation of the US naval blockade of Iranian ports, been a key stumbling block to restarting peace talks between the two countries under Pakistan’s mediation in Islamabad. However much the Iranian foreign ministry insists it will not respond to every social media utterance issued by the US president on Iran, and sometimes there are as many as seven a day, Tehran cannot ignore them all, even if they contradict what the Iranians are being told in private about Trump’s true intentions. Indeed, Trump’s impatience and rough-house diplomatic style has become a self-standing impediment to a solution. Iran’s chief negotiator, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, warned that “by imposing a siege and violating the ceasefire”, the US president “seeks to turn this negotiating table – in his own imagination – into a table of surrender or to justify renewed warmongering. We do not accept negotiations under the shadow of threats, and in the past two weeks, we have prepared to reveal new cards on the battlefield.” Iran’s ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, made a similar point with a reference to Jane Austen, saying: “It’s

Brazil’s animal feed production set to grow 3.3% in 2026 – AllAboutFeed.net

Photo: Governo do Paraná Animal feed production in Brazil is projected to reach 97.3 million tonnes in 2026, up 3.3% from the previous year, according to estimates by Sindirações (National Union of the Animal Feed Industry). The result marks a second consecutive year of growth, with output reaching around 94.2 million tonnes in 2025, an increase of more than 3% from 2024. Since 2021, cumulative growth has reached 16.6%, from 83.4 million to 97.3 million tonnes, if projections are confirmed. Expansion and modernisation drivers “The expansion of agricultural production is driving the entry of new companies into the marketing of traditional sector products, as well as the diversification of the export mix,” says Ariovaldo Zani, CEO of Sindirações. According to the sector, performance reflects the recovery of livestock and aquaculture activities following a period of greater volatility, particularly linked to grain costs and the macroeconomic environment. “The combination of expanded market access, institutional strengthening and incentives for productive modernisation is expected to boost the competitiveness of the animal protein sector over the next decade.” GRAIN FUTURES – All About Feed offers readers access to the futures market with a clear overview of the latest developments for wheat, corn and soy
