South Carolina's state funds will no longer be tied to Disney as Republicans blast the company for pulling ads from X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.South Carolina state Treasurer Curtis Loftis announced on Tuesday that Walt Disney Company is being removed from the Palmetto State's approved investment list. In a letter, he argued that Disney has abandoned its fiduciary duty to investors by "boycotting" X.HOME ECONOMICS: THE HUMAN COST OF THE AFFORDABILITY CRISISLoftis's office portfolio has about $105 million of Disney debt instruments that will mature as scheduled and will not be replaced, according to the treasurer. Loftis said he will focus on the equity portfolio in the coming weeks."Disney has abandoned its fiduciary responsibilities to its investors and customers by joining far-left activist in boycotting legal, taxpaying, employment-creating corporations to further Disney's political agenda," he said in a Tuesday statement.Loftis also bashed the company over CEO Bob Iger's pulling of advertising on X. The platform's owner, Elon Musk, has been embroiled in a firestorm over X and raised eyebrows when he rebuked those pulling ads from it."Don't advertise," Musk said while speaking at the 2023 DealBook Summit. "If somebody's gonna try to blackmail me with advertising? Blackmail me

But, it leaked Monday afternoon (something the devs clearly did not appreciate), spurring the team to release the trailer on YouTube shortly after.Despite the context of all that hubbub, X/Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino still chimed in to publicly ask Rockstar to post the trailer to that social media platform. "@RockstarGames — gaming is one of our most popular topics," she wrote. "Drop that trailer here — give the people on @X what they want!!".@RockstarGames — gaming is one of our most popular topics. She was discovered dead in a garbage chute in a luxury apartment building on W. 28th St. near the highline on Dec. 1. Jaclyn Rose Elmquist was working at the recruitment firm Mission Staffing and went out after work with co-workers on November 30. When she could not be reached or turn up for work on Dec. 1, her family in Minnesota began posting on Dec. 1 hoping to find her. “This is the bar she was at,” posted her cousin Katlyn Kampier on X (formerly Twitter). “Her coworkers put her in a yellow cab which may have dropped her off just a few blocks away.” The family said they were getting pings from a cell phone until it went dead. NBC News ran surveillance video which appeared to show her walking unsteadily down West 28th St. before entering the lobby of a luxury apartment building at 540 W. 28th St. near Tenth Ave a short distance from the Highline. It was not clear why she would have gotten out of

It's now available to view on YouTube.X account @Gta6trailerleak was seemingly set up specifically for one purpose: Leak the GTA 6 trailer. The video wasn't up for long, based on screenshots floating around. It appears X suspended the account no more than one hour after it posted the leaked trailer. According to The Verge's Tom Warren, Rockstar made their official trailer public around 10 minutes after X suspended the leaked video uploader. The leaked video, which we now know was legitimate, had a "BUY $BTC" watermark overlaid over the entire clip.Musk's X is no stranger to leaks, piracy, and copyrighted content being posted. Ever since X rolled out extended-length video uploads for paying X Premium subscribers, users have been posting full-length feature films to the

But he’s missing throws, and he hasn’t put a drive together for points. He mustered five completed passes for only 39 yards in the first half. The Patriots offense still looks like it’s stuck in mud, and the boo birds at Gillette Stadium were chirping early to let them know about it.Granted, the conditions aren’t necessarily ideal for the Patriots on a rainy afternoon in Foxborough, and the team also lost its best playmaker, running back Rhamondre Stevenson, in the first quarter. Demario Douglas, the burgeoning rookie wide receiver, is also out with a head injury. There aren’t many options for Zappe to go to on the field at this point. No one expected the Patriots to suddenly morph into a strong offensive team, but there was hope they could move the ball against a Chargers team allowing the most passing yards on average (280.0) in the NFL. It’s even more frustrating considering how well the defense is playing.Despite not being near 100 percent, the Patriots defense still managed to hold

The new court may have looked great, but the Cats did not in the first half. For the first time all season, this group looked rough offensively, and we have to give credit to UNCW for forcing this game to be played exactly how they wanted it to be. Kentucky was led by Tre Mitchell for most of the half until Reed Sheppard provided a boost late in the half to help close the gap heading into the locker room, 41-33. The Seahawks controlled much of the second half as well, forcing Kentucky into difficult shots on defense and getting whatever they wanted on the offensive end of the court, eventually coming away with the 80-73 victory. Ultimately, the weaknesses on the defensive end of the court really shined bright tonight. Kentucky has to get better on that end of the floor to even come close to reaching the ceiling many think that they have. A brutal loss, though. No way around it. Shellenberger told the House Weaponization of the Federal Government hearing that the censorship efforts were worse than he originally thought.DEVON ARCHER SAYS HUNTER USED JOE BIDEN AS 'DEFENSIVE LEVERAGE' FOR FOREIGN BIZ PARTNERS, TRANSCRIPT SHOWS MICHAEL SHELLENBERGER: Well, it's worse in the sense that the censorship was just one part of what we saw happening, both by U.K. and U.S. so-called former military contractors, but also currently employed, including some of those working for the Navy in 2020 when they created something called the Cyber Threat Intelligence League, supposedly of volunteers. But many of these people were working actively for the Department of Homeland Security. We also saw people from the FBI working with social media companies to censor Americans. But what we discovered was basically a handbook that they had created to use psychological operations and disinformation tactics against the American people. These are tactics that have been developed abroad by the U.S. military and U.S. allies. So to see them turn against the American people really
