New Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino is inspired by Elon Musk, says she is excited to transform …

By Divyanshi Sharma: Ever since Elon Musk took over Twitter in October 2022, the micro-blogging platform has gone through some radical changes - both internally and externally. For instance, Musk fired around 80 percent employees and a lot of perks for the employees had been cut down in order to bring the costs down. On the other hand, Twitter users who had earned the once-prestigious verification badge lost their legacy blue ticks as Musk introduced Twitter Blue. Musk's management style has often invited criticism, both from employees and Twitter users. And when the entrepreneur announced that Twitter will soon have a new CEO, people were quite excited to find out who it will be. Musk will be passing on the mantle to Linda Yaccarino, and she will assume her new role in a couple of weeks. The news was announced on Friday but until now, Yaccarino has stayed quiet on the matter. Now, she has finally spoken about her upcoming role and how she has always been 'inspired from Elon Musk'. With the chance to end the defending champion’s season, the Los Angeles Lakers didn’t miss at home. The next CEO of Twitter, replacing Elon Musk, could be this NBC ad executive—or one of … – Fortune

The next CEO of Twitter could be NBC Universal chairman of global advertising and partnerships Linda Yaccarino, according to multiple media reports on Thursday. Elon Musk dropped the news on Thursday that in six weeks he’ll be CEO of one less company, and will transition to executive chair and CTO of Twitter. Musk said he has hired a new CEO for Twitter, and suggested that the new boss will be a woman, referring to his successor as “she.” But Musk being Musk, he didn’t say who the new CEO will be, setting off a frenzy of speculation. Dylan Byers, of Puck News, tweeted that two sources had confirmed that Yaccarino was the new Twitter CEO, while the Wall Street Journal‘s sources said Yaccarino was “in talks” with Musk about the gig. Longtime tech journalist Kara Swisher was first to publicly suggest Yaccarino would fit the bill, describing her in a tweet as being an “ad powerhouse and well liked.” The sentiment was echoed by a tech CEO who told Fortune “she is amazing.” Meanwhile, a barrage of other names were being bandied about. Former YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki and ex-Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg were quickly mentioned as potential candidates by

NBA Twitter reacts to Raptors interviewing JJ Redick for coaching job

PHILADELPHIA, PA - MARCH 02: ESPN analyst JJ Redick (Photo by Mitchell Leff/Getty Images) The Toronto Raptors’ coaching search after the firing of Nick Nurse has been anything but conventional. Not only have names like Becky Hammon managed to wiggle their way into the collective consciousness of this fanbase, but JJ Redick has become one of the most discussed names in Canadian sports today.Redick, who has spent his post-playing career on TV as an analyst for ESPN, was interviewed by the Raptors as they search for their next head coach. This is certainly an unusual choice, as Redick has not been on an NBA sideline in any coaching capacity in his life.NBA Twitter was completely bemused by this decision. While Redick was a well-respected veteran player with a long career and has proven himself to be a sharp mind on television, hiring someone with as many NBA games coaches as you and I could be a risky proposition.Raptors Twitter, and NBA Twitter as a collective, reacted to this news with a mixture of confusion, optimism (or coping, depending on your perspective), and all sorts of predictions when it comes to what a team led by Reddick can accomplish.Fifteen-year NBA veteran

Twitter Launches Direct Responses in DM Threads, Expanded Emoji Response Options

Twitter has released two new updates for DMs, which have been in the works for a few months, but are now getting a full launch in the app. First off, you’ll now be able to reply direct to any message within a DM thread, making it easier to interact within group chats and discussion, with greater clarity around who and what you’re responding to in-stream. As you can see in this example, shared by social media expert Matt Navarra, now, you’re able to reply to a specific message in a chat thread, and that response will be aligned to the original message bubble, as opposed to being added to the end of the chain. Twitter’s also added a new emoji picker within DMs, so you can react to a message with a wider range of emoji options. Twitter first previewed this back in January, and it’ll provide more ways to use quick emoji responses within DMs, which could add another fun element to your chat interactions. In addition to these updates, Twitter chief Elon Musk says that the first iteration of encrypted DMs will be launched this week, adding more security and privacy in the app. Twitter’s been developing encrypted

The host said that the program would closely resemble what he did before, potentially violating his noncompete clause with Fox News. Tuesday’s announcement was a sign that talks to end Mr. Carlson’s contract, worth $25 million a year until it ends in January 2025, may have broken down.Things could get spicier. Mr. Carlson has accused Fox executives of breaching his contract, according to Axios, while the network could seek an injunction to keep its onetime star from reviving his broadcast.
