Bears fans are justifiably angry following CB Kyle Fuller's release

The Chicago Bears continue to trend backwards in free agency with reports that veteran cornerback Kyle Fuller is being released to free up salary cap space. Fuller was due to have a cap hit of $20 million in 2021, which led to his release. While the Bears save $11 million in cap space, they’re down another leader on defense and left without a starting cornerback opposite second-year corner Jaylon Johnson. The reaction, as you can imagine, wasn’t good. Twitter was justifiably upset about how things got this far after general manager Ryan Pace dug himself into a salary cap hole. Fuller becomes a top free-agent target with his release, and the Bears give the rest of the league something else to laugh about. As for Bears fans, they’re fed up with it all. Thanks for everything Kyle Fuller 🙏 Easily one of my favorite players through the years, and a big part of our top defenses. Always a humble, hard worker, and he will be missed. pic.twitter.com/XpcpV9MFUx — DaWindyCity Productions (new account) (@dwcburner) March 18, 2021 Literally zero regard for the fans at all. — Austin F (@PodGuyFuges) March 18, 2021 Kyle Fuller was one of my favorite Bears and…

Iowa City web developer creates Twitter account to help Iowans find COVID-19 vaccine appointments

IOWA CITY, Iowa (NBC News) - Getting a vaccine has proven to be a challenge for many of us, but an Iowa man is trying to make it easier with a Twitter page that's gone viral. The goal of the page is to get as many people signed up as possible. "Just like everybody else, I was trying to find a vaccine for me and my family. I became eligible when they opened up the criteria on the eighth. So trying to find a vaccine that everyone has had trouble with, I had the same kind of trouble," said Brian Finley, the creator of @IAVaccineAlerts. Due to this frustration with getting a COVID-19 vaccine, the Iowa City web developer decided to get creative. "That seemed to get pretty frustrating pretty quick and so I dug into the code on the Hy-Vee website and as well as other web developers that had come up with that info nationwide and was able to find a way to search the entire state at once," said Finley. Finley then decided to help fellow Iowans get connected with a Twitter page. The page, IA Vaccine Alerts, automatically tweets every time there's an available vaccine appointment…

An Iowa City web developer's Twitter account went viral, then he thought about shutting it down

IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - Iowa Vaccine Alerts is less than a month old on Twitter. It has around 22,000 followers as of Wednesday, but the web developer who created the account almost shut it down.31% of adults in Iowa have had one COVID-19 shot or more. That number was 27% last week. It’s not just the supply increasing. Iowans over 65 without computer access can pull out their cell phone, make a call to 211 and get help scheduling an appointment. But, now they’re competing with a new, younger, group of people with their own set of tools.Brian Finley, who created an automated account that tweets when new vaccine appointments are available at a Hy-Vee, CVS, or Walgreens, created one of those tools. He said the thought of taking the vaccine away from people who needed it made him think about shutting his Twitter account.“I don’t do well thinking that something that I would do would make this harder for anyone,” he said. “But as most people in the health care business will attest you, there’s not always one right answer for everybody and so it was a matter of finding a way to do the most good while…

Cardi B and Candace Owens Twitter spat ends with legal threats

March 16, 2021 | 7:59pm Enlarge Image Cardi B and Candace Owens got into a Twitter spat Tuesday night. Getty Images for Universal Pictures; David Butow for the NY Post Well, that escalated quickly. A run-of-the-mill Twitter squabble between Cardi B and Candace Owens Tuesday evening ended with Owens claiming she plans to sue Cardi for posting a Photoshopped tweet suggesting that Owens’ husband had cheated on her with her brother. Got all that? Cardi had posted a clip of Owens speaking on Fox News, in which she said Cardi and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP” performance at the Grammys “feels like we are looking at corrosion, like we are about to see the end of an empire.” Owens responded to Cardi’s tweet by calling her “a cancer cell to culture,” and, well, things only went downhill from there. After quite a bit more back-and-forth we’ll just skip over, Cardi posted a tweet, supposedly from Owens, that reads, “Yes, my husband did cheat on me with my brother. Yes, he said no when I asked to join them.” Owens responded by calling the tweet a Photoshop job, while Cardi pointed to a few specious blogs that picked up on the image…

Twitter reacts to Titans agreeing to terms with Janoris Jenkins

The Tennessee Titans were busy in free agency once again on Tuesday, this time coming to terms on a contract agreement with cornerback Janoris Jenkins. The financial details and length of the pact are still unknown. Earlier in the day, the Titans made two surprising moves with the release of cornerback Adoree’ Jackson and right tackle Dennis Kelly, so bringing Jenkins aboard amounts to an answer for the former move. While Jenkins wasn’t the big splash we were expecting, the 32-year-old veteran corner is a good fit in Tennessee, as he excels in man coverage. He also posted impressive coverage numbers in 2020, allowing a completion rate of 58.8 percent and a QB rating of 81.8 when targeted. He stands to take over one of the two vacated starting spots on the boundary in 2021. Here’s a look at how Twitter reacted to the news. According to @ESPNStatsInfo the #Titans were in man coverage 48% of the time last season. While in man, they gave up 28 TD passes. That's the 2nd most in the NFL. They're expecting Janoris Jenkins who has primarily been a man CB throughout his career to help improve that number. — TURRON DAVENPORT (@TDavenport_NFL) March…
