Twitter reacts to Patriots’ 20-12 road preseason win over Vikings

The New England Patriots defeated the Minnesota Vikings by a 20-12 score in a mostly defensive game. Drake Maye played for a couple of drives and even led the team on a touchdown drive early in the game. He left the game after throwing 4-of-7 for 46 yards. Saturday's game was once again all about the backup quarterbacks, Joshua Dobbs and Ben Wooldridge. Dobbs went 11-of-16 passing for 106 yards and one touchdown, while Wooldridge was 7-of-13 passing for 55 yards. The biggest stories of the game were the defense holding the Vikings to only field goals and another lights-out performance from undrafted rookie wide receiver Efton Chism III. For a second straight week, Chism led the Patriots in receiving with six catches for 71 yards and a touchdown. Rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson was responsible for the other touchdown with an eight-yard rush in the first quarter. With the victory, the Patriots extended their preseason record to 2-0. Here's what people were saying on social media after the game: Follow Patriots Wire on Twitter and Facebook.

Ex-Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal’s $30M AI startup “Parallel” launches Deep Research API to …

After being removed from Twitter by Elon Musk, former CEO Parag Agrawal made a high-profile comeback to Silicon Valley with a new artificial intelligence venture, Parallel Web Systems Inc. And now his company has launched a system, Deep Research API, that outperforms humans and even GPT-5! What actually happened? Agrawal, an IIT Bombay B.Tech and Stanford University PhD was terminated in October 2022 after Musk’s $44 billion takeover of Twitter. Next, the former Twitter CEO launched Parallel Web Systems Inc., an AI-focused cloud platform drawing significant attention and funding. Agrawal’s Parallel has raised $30 million from prominent investors, including Khosla Ventures, Index Ventures, and First Round Capital. Without any major announcement, the startup headquartered in Palo Alto was founded in 2023. According to the company’s blog post, it is already processing millions of research tasks daily for early adopters, including “some of the fastest-growing AI companies,” as Agrawal describes them. Twitter recap and highlights of Bengals’ Friday practice | Cincy Jungle

Phil Didion/The Enquirer / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images The Bengals’ biggest questions heading into training camp were in the pass rush and in the pass protection. Friday at practice, one of those seemed much better than the other one, as the pass rush seemed to be absolutely dominating the Bengals’ offensive line. Shemar Stewart and Kris Jenkins were both dominating upfront, which is hopefully a good sign for the pass rush, but it is also a bad sign for the offensive line. While speaking about the pass rush, Trey Hendrickson is still out there just helping coach the young defenders with no deal in sight. All was not dark for the offense, though. Even as the pass rush was terrorizing Burrow, the wide receivers were still making plays, including a great catch by Andrei Iosivas, which could point to even more year 3 improvements for him. The vets, of course, aren’t ones to be shown up, so Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase also got impressive touchdown catches from Joe Burrow. On the rehab field were Jermaine Burton and Mike Gesicki, so the offensive firepower wasn’t even all out there. Although there is no fix for the guard position

Track & Field/Cross Country August 15, 2025 SAN ANTONIO – UTSA Director of Track & Field/Cross Country Aaron Fox announced on Friday that the Roadrunners will be bringing another transfer thrower into the 2025-26 squad, adding experienced Sun Belt Conference thrower Lauralyn Clifford to next year’s Roadrunners roster. "Lauralyn brings a wealth of DI experience in the throws, and the continuous growth in her performances makes her a solid addition to our throws squad,” Fox said.  “We’re excited to get her to San Antonio and get to work taking the next step and helping her reach her academic goals on her Master’s.” Born in Castries, Saint Lucia, Clifford comes out of Toronto, Ontario by way of her graduate transfer from Coastal Carolina, where she has competed in throws over the past four seasons for the Chanticleers. She is the standing St. Lucia national record holder in the weight throw and hammer throw and was a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) at CCU, in addition to being a Jackson Scholar for the Leadership and Ethics Program and leading an after-school ethics program for middle-schoolers. New TROY students encouraged to make the most of their college experience

Troy University alumnus U.S. Marine Capt. Morgan Long encouraged new TROY students to find ways to get involved in campus life to make the most of their college experience during Tuesday night’s Odyssey Convocation in Trojan Arena. Hosted by the Office of Student Engagement and Leadership, the Senior Vice Chancellors and the Deans of TROY’s five colleges, the annual convocation signals the beginning of TROY students’ journeys, which will ultimately lead back to the arena stage for their commencement ceremony. Long, a 2020 TROY graduate with a bachelor’s degree in hospitality, sport and tourism management and a former president of the Student Government Association, recalled his early days at TROY when he decided to take that step out during Welcome Week activities to find ways to become involved. He first became involved in Freshman Forum and later SGA and the Trojan Ambassadors, giving tours of the Troy Campus to prospective students. He encouraged students to find their own paths to becoming involved. “The biggest piece of advice I would have is to step out of that dorm room and get involved. Invest into TROY and watch it invest so much more into you,” he said. “The little bit of opportunity
