DOVER, DE / ACCESS Newswire / June 20, 2025 / In a fiery spectacle worthy of Silicon Valley lore, Ditchit - a rising star in the online marketplace space and rival to OfferUp - has made headlines by purchasing and then blowing up the original 560-pound Twitter bird sign once perched atop the company's San Francisco headquarters. The marketing stunt, filmed in the Nevada desert with a 15-person production crew, four Tesla Cybertrucks, and a Hollywood pyrotechnics expert, marked a symbolic farewell to legacy tech monopolies and a bold introduction to Ditchit's mission: to build a local marketplace that puts people before profits. "Elon Musk rebranded Twitter to X to support free expression. At Ditchit, we're doing the same for local marketplaces," said Ditchit spokesman James Deluca. "Today's platforms are filled with ads, fees, and algorithms that prioritize businesses over people. Ditchit is different-free to use, ad-free, and designed to support real communities and real sellers." The 12-foot-tall Twitter logo, affectionately known as "Larry," was purchased at auction for $34,000 earlier this year. While the initial acquisition was driven by nostalgia, the company ultimately decided to transform the artifact into a symbol of disruption. The resulting video, now live on

Rexas Finance went live earlier today on Solana and immediately dropped over 85% in price, resulting in presale buyers getting wrecked on their investment. This caused a lot of drama on social media from angry investors, as those who waited for the token launch were able to buy RXS crypto nearly 10x cheaper than presalers. RXS crypto is a new real-world asset (RWA) project, built on Ethereum and raised over $54 million during its presale, resulting in 454 million RXS tokens being sold. The final few stages of the presale saw RXS selling for between $0.1 and $0.2 – with the token now trading for $0.065 on the open market. ( SOURCE ) Early Investors Unhappy With RXS Crypto Due To Poor Token Launch Many early presale participants of Rexas Finance are currently down between 40% and 75% on their investment, which is leading to a lot of angry sentiment across social media. Some investors are complaining that their tokens were locked up for weeks while waiting for the RXS crypto TGE (token generation event), and now that day has come, they are severely underwater on their investment, while those who bought at launch are in profit. When the NBA showed player introductions at the NBA Finals for the first time in over a decade earlier this week, prolific social media personality “World Wide Wob” quipped that “NBA Twitter” might as well have a Board of Governors vote. Showing the introductions was just the latest adjustment the NBA and ESPN/ABC made on the fly, after digitally superimposing long-lost “Finals” logos on the court beginning in Game 2 after a bevy of fans and media—including FOS—lamented the lack of pageantry on display in the sport’s biggest games. The logos had also been missing from the court for over a decade, and there has been a general celebration among the faces of “NBA Twitter/X” that, at least in this case, bullying worked. “It does not take a genius to realize the most controversial trending Twitter topics about players were discussed on the broadcast, and the most viral complaints regarding the game presentation’s lack of pageantry were remedied the very next game,” World Wide Wob, a host for SiriusXM’s NBA channel and Bleacher Report whose real name is Rob Perez, told FOS. “I certainly commend the NBA for keeping the feedback line open and acting on what their fans desire

Boy, this is messy. Boy George picked a fight with J.K. Rowling on X (formerly Twitter) over the Harry Potter author’s controversial views on the transgender community. The feud started Saturday when the British DJ, 64, responded to a thread between Rowling, 59, and another user where she asked, “Which rights have been taken away from trans people?” J.K. Remember the Twitter bird sign on San Francisco's Market Street? A startup just blew it up in the desert.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Isiah Gilliam established himself as the best player in the American Association. Now he’s taking his talents south of the border.  The Kansas City Monarchs’ star outfielder has signed with Tabasco in the Mexican League, the Monarchs announced Tuesday.  At the time of his departure, Gilliam led the AAPB with a .389 batting average, .478 on-base percentage and .770 slugging percentage. His 1.248 OPS ranks nearly 100 points above second place in the league.  “Isiah Gilliam’s not only the best player in this league, he could be the best player in Partner League baseball,” Monarchs manager Joe Calfapietra said. “We knew he was going to get an opportunity, it was just when and where. We’re incredibly excited for him.” Gilliam was on a tear leading up to his signing. Over his final 10 games with Kansas City, Gilliam hit .465 with a 1.445 OPS, four home runs and 13 RBIs.  Six 2025 Monarchs have now had their contracts transferred away from the team. Four have moved on to affiliated organizations with two, Gilliam and slugger Jhailyn Ortiz, heading to the Mexican League. “We wish Isiah all the best,” Calfapietra said. “This is a great thing for
