I Watched Every Second of Pauly Shore's New 10-Part YouTube Series – Cracked.com

I Watched Every Second of Pauly Shore’s New 10-Part YouTube Series What the hell did I just watch? The inimitable Pauly Shore just dropped a new, 10-episode YouTube series that’s mind-blowing in its lack of commitment to a plot or reason for being. And yet if you told me, “This is really what Pauly Shore’s life is actually like,” I think I might believe you. After an all-in binge, here are my key questions about Hooray for Paulywood…Click right here to get the best of Cracked sent to your inbox. Did Shore Just Give Up on a Storyline?  Hooray for Paulywood does have a throughline, at least at first. Shore’s personal assistant (comedian Ali Macofsky) quits the job because she’s fallen in love with Pauly and she won’t mix business with pleasure. That’s a problem: Shore doesn’t know how to “open the computer,” and he needs help with his half-baked projects. There’s your setup for the next seven episodes, with other comedian friends interviewing (or not) to be Pauly’s go-to guy. The problem is solved when comic Shapel Lacey agrees to be Shore’s Black assistant — or as Shapel prefers to be called, Shore’s assistant. All of this is barely a story

YouTube Expands Creator Monetization Options to More Regions | Social Media Today

YouTube is further expanding access to its YouTube Partner Program, with creators in more regions now able to access YouTube’s creator incentive offering at its recently revised, lower entry thresholds. Back in June, YouTube announced new, lower qualification requirements for the program, as part of a broader push to win over talent, and get more creators posting more often. The new thresholds effectively halve the requirements for entry into the YouTube Partner Program (YPP), dropping it from 1,000 subscribers to 500 subs, providing broader access to some of YouTube’s monetization features. As you can see on the left, the lower thresholds provide access to fan funding and in-stream promotions, but you’ll still need to have 1,000 subscribers to qualify for ad revenue share. So it’s not full access, but it does give more creators more ways to monetize in the app. Which could also help to get more creators better aligned with YouTube, and today, YouTube has announced that these lower entry markers will now apply to creators in 37 more countries, meaning that 99 regions in total now qualify for the new system. YouTube’s eventually planning to expand this to all regions, which will help to facilitate more revenue options for more

YouTube Ad Rebound Helps Alphabet Beat Q3 Expectations – Deadline

YouTube advertising revenue increased 12% to $7.95 billion in the third quarter compared with the same period a year ago, helping corporate parent Alphabet beat Wall Street expectations. Total revenue rose 11% over the year-earlier quarter to hit $76.7 billion, while earnings per share surged to $1.55 from $1.06. Wall Street analysts had estimated revenue of $71.6 billion and EPS of $1.36. Despite the results coming in well above forecasts, Alphabet shares slipped more than 5%. They came into earnings up 59% this year to date. The main flaw in the earnings report that was seized upon by investors was the performance of Alphabet’s cloud business. It undershot Wall Street estimates, reaching $8.41 billion in revenue compared with forecasts for $8.6 billion. CEO Sundar Pichai touted “product momentum” in the earnings release, specifically artificial intelligence enhancements to Search, YouTube, Cloud, Pixel devices and other areas. “We’re continuing to focus on making AI more helpful for everyone; there’s exciting progress and lots more to come,” he said. Ruth Porat, President and Chief Investment Officer, called out “meaningful growth in Search and YouTube, and momentum in Cloud.” Overall advertising revenue came in at $59.7 billion, ahead of consensus estimates of $58.9 billion.

YouTube Ad Sales Approach $8B As Alphabet Momentum Grows – The Hollywood Reporter

YouTube’s advertising revenue reached $7.95 billion in the three months ended Sept. 30, continuing the upward momentum started in the previous quarter.  In the second quarter, the video platform reported $7.7 billion in advertising revenue, reversing the prior downward trends of the previous quarters. The Q3 result of $7.95 billion also bests the results of the third quarter of 2022, when YouTube reported $7.1 billion in ad revenue.  The YouTub advertising numbers do not include subscription revenue from YouTube TV, YouTube Premium, YouTube Music, or the recently launched YouTube TV’s NFL Sunday Ticket package. However, the “Other Revenues” segment reached $8.3 billion, up 21% year-over-year, driven by subscriber growth in YouTube TV, followed by YouTube Music premium. The NFL Sunday Ticket Revenues as well as content acquisition costs are expected to be more fully reflected in the fourth quarter, said CFO Ruth Porat. While the company did not break out exact figures for NFL Sunday Ticket, Pichai said that it was “receiving excellent reviews,” particularly around its multi-view feature. “We have heard positive feedback from our partners at NFL about the new features and live stream reliability. This is a clear example of our ability to execute big partnerships with

The YouTube Indicator to Watch – The Information

By  |  Oct. 23, 2023 2:47 PM PDT Will short-form video ever generate meaningful revenue for creators on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram? The next three months will go a long way to answering that question. Just pay attention to YouTube. Advertisers in the summer committed more than $7 billion to YouTube during the annual advertising negotiations known as upfronts. These dollar commitments then get spent by advertisers starting in the fourth quarter and into the following year, according to ad executives. In the past, most of these dollars went towards ads on traditional, long-form YouTube videos, which the Alphabet-owned company then shares with YouTubers. This year, advertisers were able to include YouTube Shorts as part of their upfront ad buys. It was as simple as checking a box, said an executive at one top ad agency which spends hundreds of millions of dollars on behalf of clients on YouTube every year. The next three months will determine whether they did—and creators will be among the first to know. Their dashboards of YouTube earnings will reflect any increased Shorts ad sales that the company shares with its video bloggers.
