Crater’s Renaissance Academy presents “The Frogs” play on YouTube CENTRAL POINT, Ore. — Crater’s winter audio comedy production of “The Frogs” is now available on YouTube! It’s based on the work of ancient Greek playwright, Aristophanes, and adapted by Crater Renaissance Academy’s performing arts teachers, Davey Kashuba and Emily Zellner-Gisler. 12 students and Kashuba contributed their voices to the project, which started in January. It’s an ancient Greek play, but the plot parallels the pandemic we’re still dealing with today. Kashuba said a lot of the funniest moments in the show came from the creative minds of the students. “Some of the stuff they noticed about the lines and the plot and just ways they could make it feel more current and engaging for the audience was really fun,” Kashuba said. The students are currently working on a sketch comedy show collaboration with the choir, like a Saturday Night Live high school edition. It will premiere at the beginning of June. Ever wondered if you can cook a chicken solely from the heat generated by slapping it? So did YouTuber Louis Weisz, and the verdict is... yes. Yes, you can.As you can see from the video embedded below, the endeavor took plenty of work – two months' worth in total – from testing out the theory to constructing a super-speedy (and customizable) chicken slapper to actually getting the bird cooked. But in the end, Weisz did indeed come out with a cooked chicken at the end of it: a triumph of persistence if not really a practical option for your next camping trip.Two key considerations along the way were keeping the slaps fast and hard enough to heat the meat without causing it to disintegrate and managing to restrict heat loss – and as the video shows, they were both overcome.The cooking physics behind the idea is actually sound. Nicki Minaj has landed a number of records in her decade-plus-long career and while it’s been almost three years since she released an album, her last one being 2018’s Queen, the rapper is still finding ways to label herself as a one of a kind rapper. More than six years after the music video’s release, Minaj’s The Pinkprint highlight, “Anaconda,” has reached a billion views on YouTube. The impressive feat makes her the first female rapper to reach the ten-digit number with a solo song on the platform. With “Anaconda” surpassing a billion views, Minaj also ties Katy Perry and Rihanna for the most overall music videos with more than a billion views on YouTube, that being six. The other videos from the Pink Friday rapper’s catalog to accomplish this include “Bang. Bang” with Jessie J and Ariana Grande, “Hey Mama” with David Guetta, Bebe Rexha, and Afrojack, and “Swalla,” with Jason Derulo and Ty Dolla Sign. YouTube TV added a new feature on Friday that will allow users to find, watch, and buy new movies from YouTube without ever having to leave the app. YouTube TV is one of the most popular internet TV services on the market, with more than 85 channels, unlimited cloud DVR, and one of the cleanest interfaces of any streaming app. Over the past few years, its price has risen significantly, jumping from $35 a month when it launched in 2017 to $65 a month in 2020. The addition of new channels has been the driving force behind the ballooning price, as every network wants a cut for joining the growing channel library, but Google has continued to add new features to the service along the way as well. YouTube beauty guru James Charles posted a video Thursday afternoon addressing allegations that he sexted with underage boys on social media.In a nearly 15-minute-long video titled "holding myself accountable," Charles apologized to "anybody that I’ve hurt or anybody that I’ve made uncomfortable with my actions."In the video, the 21-year-old makeup artist addressed allegations from two 16-year-old boys who said they exchanged inappropriate messages with Charles on social media. A recent Vulture article detailed numerous allegations from multiple boys, including a 15-year-old.Charles said in his video that he contacted one of the 16-year-old boys last year and the other was more recent. In both instances, he said he believed the boys were 18 and he acknowledged engaging in "flirty conversation" with them.It wasn't until later that he learned the boys were 16, he said.“Upon finding out, I was immediately embarrassed and blocked both people,” Charles said in the video.One of the unnamed 16-year-old accusers previously denied to Insider that he lied to Charles about his age.Charles, who has been involved in multiple scandals throughout his YouTube career, went on to say that the conversations "should have never happened” and he should have done more research on social media to find out…

In a Wednesday update posted to the company’s ad-friendly content guidelines, YouTube announced it would be easing up on the monetization restrictions for certain kinds of content dealing with “recreational drugs and drug-related content,” among other topics.Youtube’s been a historically unfriendly place for cannabis-related content, with some creators in the space finding channels suspended or demonetized, often without warning starting in late 2018. While YouTube’s eased up on some of its restrictions since then, there’s still a fine–and seemingly arbitrary—line these creators have to walk. The update clears some of that up: but the specifics are still a bit fuzzy: starting in April, YouTube says, creators in the YouTube Partner Program can start earning ad revenue from content that “focuses on the purchase, fabrication, or distribution of drugs” in an educational or “non-glorified” way. In past iterations of YouTube’s monetization specs, these same creators were told that they could turn on monetization for their channel, but it was ultimately up to brands if they wanted to “opt-in”…

For the past decade, Ken Block has been routinely lighting up the internet with his high-octane Gymkhana videos on YouTube. Now, the rally driver is parting ways with three of his on-screen dream machines. Arguably celebrities in their own right, the cars have amassed roughly 200 million views on YouTube. The famed trio includes a 2011 Ford Fiesta ST “GYM3,” a 2013 Fiesta ST “RX43” and a rare 1986 Ford RS200. Each car has been hopped up for racing and driven by Block himself. All three are up for sale for the first time through LBI Limited. The GYM3, which essentially kickstarted the hit YouTube series, was the first car to come courtesy of Block’s former partnership with Ford. The Blue Oval provided cars to Block’s outfit, Hoonigan Racing, for the Gymkhana film production and several rally events worldwide. This particular widebody hatchback was the undisputed star of the Gymkhana Three video, which is nearly 11 years old and has garnered more than 66 million views on YouTube.
