Eminem’s ‘Lose Yourself’ sung by Spiderman, Simba. How to see the YouTube mashup

A YouTube user, The Unusual Suspect, created a mashup of Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” using clips from over 300 films. The video features characters like Spiderman, Simba, and Kermit the Frog “singing” the lyrics. This is part of The Unusual Suspect’s “CinemaSings!” series, which reimagines popular songs using movie clips. Michiganders are familiar with Detroit native Eminem’s “Lose Yourself,” but maybe not in its newest iteration, from the mouths of Spiderman, Simba and Kermit the Frog. The mashup created by The Unusual Suspect, posted on Youtube earlier this month, features lyrics sung by favorite characters from “Monsters Inc.,” “Charlie Brown,” the “Fast and Furious” franchise and others. The video features more than 300 different films to recreate the lyrics. “In this video I edited 331 different films together to recreate the lyrics to ‘Lose Yourself’ by Eminem,” the Youtuber said in the video’s description. The CinemaSings! series by The Unusual Suspect takes movie characters and edits them to match the lyrics of popular songs, including “Never gonna give you up” and “Wake me up before you go-go,” among others. “Lose Yourself” is from the movie “8 Mile,” a semi-autobiographical film set in 1995 Detroit, starring Eminem as aspiring rapper Jimmy (B-Rabbit)
