On Friday, Facebook Inc. published the first edition of its Compliance Report in accordance with Rule 4 (1) (d) of the 2021 Information Technology (Interim Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Regulations. The report provides details of the actions taken on Facebook and Instagram content created by Indian users that violate the norms. Facebook has identified two metrics. This includes “Content Actioned”, which measures the number of content (posts, photos, videos, comments, etc.) that the platform has taken action to violate community standards. This is an indicator of how effectively Facebook detects violations.
