Golf: Wiltwyck Golf Club gets new pro, clubhouse manager – Daily Freeman

KINGSTON, N.Y. — Wiltwyck Golf Club has reshaped its senior management team with the hiring of new golf professional Trevor Alexander and the promotion of Eric Atkins to clubhouse manager. Alexander and Atkins have taken completely different paths to Wiltwyck, the Robert Trent Jones Sr.-designed golf course that was a private club for 85 years until opening for public play as a semiprivate golf club in 2018. The 41-year-old Alexander was born and raised in Maine and graduated from Wheaton (Mass.) College, where he pitched on the college baseball team. After starting his career in golf working in the bag room at TPC Boston in Norton, Mass., Alexander has been an assistant pro at four New Jersey golf clubs, including the well-respected Forsgate Country Club and Metedeconk National Golf Club. He came to Wiltwyck in mid-April following a four-year stint as the general manager/director of golf at Medford Lakes (N.J.) Country Club. Atkins, who turned 53 on Monday, graduated from Rondout Valley High and SUNY Ulster. Atkins earned a degree from SUNY Oswego in marketing in 1991.
