Perhaps our elected officials can collaborate to come up with a solution that will benefit the millions of Americans who are saddled with life-long debt because they dared to get a college degree. I, for one, believe that forgiving the interest on educational loans and then having the companies work with borrowers to negotiate repayment terms that work with an individual’s economic situation would be a welcome relief. It’s way past time that our elected officials stop pandering to the childish whims and political handmaidens who answer only to big donors and big business. You must get something done. President Biden, I urge you to act on your promise to cancel student debt or to come up with a plan that will at least ease the burden that too many Americans carry.
