A man has died after being found allegedly injured in a home in the Borders. Emergency services raced to a property on Chris Paterson Place in Galashiels at 6pm last night. Medics attended and on arrival, a 40-year-old man was found allegedly seriously injured within. He was blue-lighted to Borders General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later. Police Scotland have launched a probe into his death and officers confirmed a 38-year-old woman has been arrested in connection. Enquiries into his death remain ongoing. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of an injured man at a property on Chris Paterson Place in Galashiels around 6pm on Friday, February 17. The 40-year-old was taken to Borders General Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. “A 38-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing. The incident occurred within a dwelling and officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with the investigation.
