Mario Terrana Women’s Golf September 24, 2025 LUBBOCK, Texas — Lauren Rios tied for third place to guide the UTSA women’s golf team to a share of third in the team standings at the Red Raider Invitational, which wrapped up Wednesday at The Rawls Course (par 72/6,894 yards). Rios recorded a 1-under-par 215 en route to the best finish of her UTSA career, eclipsing her previous top finish of 13th at the 2025 American Conference Championship. She ended up just two shots out of first place, which was claimed by Texas Tech’s Lauren Zaretsky. Behind Rios’ top-three showing, the Roadrunners tied with Abilene Christian for third with an 890 (296-289-305), just two shots out of runner-up position in the 15-team race won by host Texas Tech (876). Rios opened the event with a 1-under 71 on Tuesday morning and then fired a 2-under 70 in the afternoon to get to 3-under and grab a share of the individual lead.
