San Angelo man charged with online theft from Facebook Marketplace sales – GoSanAngelo

SAN ANGELO — The Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office is looking for other possible victims of Jordan Velez, who is charged with selling items on Facebook Marketplace and not delivering the products.On Friday, March 11, 2022, the Sheriff’s Office received a report of felony theft and learned Velez, 36, was doing business as Viking Rental Services and selling items on Facebook, according to a news release.He sold two pieces of heavy equipment to the victim on or about December 20, 2021. “The victim, after not receiving his purchased property, found the said serialized items had been sold through an auction house in January of 2022,” according to the release.  “The victim contacted Jordan Velez numerous times but did not receive the purchased property or a refund.”On Tuesday, April 19, 2022, the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office located and arrested Velez, who has been charged with theft of property $2,500
