Erling Haaland refuses to fall into cheeky trap set by fan in Wolverhampton | talkSPORT

Erling Haaland hilariously showed his English football meme knowledge, snubbing a fan who tried to get him in trouble on Snapchat. The Manchester City striker appeared to be chilling in his hotel room before facing Wolves, only for someone to try and push him down the Noni Madueke route. 4 One cheeky follower tried to tempt Haaland into 'doing a Madueke' Credit: Snapchat Haaland reposted a message from a follower which said: “What do you think of the city of Wolverhampton?”  To which a grinning Haaland responded: “Hahahaha I know what you’re trying to do here.” The question was clearly a reference to an incident 12 months ago when Madueke got himself in hot water by insulting the city while playing for Chelsea. "Everything about his place is s***,” he wrote on Instagram, tagging his location as the city of Wolverhampton. read more on erling haaland The story quickly disappeared, but screenshots were everywhere, and Madueke posted: "Damn wrong Instagram account... You lot are fast." Yet despite having the majority of Wolves’ Molineux Stadium against him the following day, Madueke put in arguably the greatest performance of his young career. The 23-year-old netted a first career hat-trick and was unstoppable

‘Threat to all children’: Algonquin man accused of soliciting children, sending them explicit …

Thomas E. Jackson, 27, of Algonquin. A judge called an Algonquin man a “threat to all children” after he was arrested for allegedly soliciting children on Snapchat and sending them sexually explicit videos of himself. Thomas E. Jackson, 27, of Algonquin, was charged with child pornography, grooming and four counts of distributing explicit material to a minor. A criminal complaint filed in McHenry County Circuit Court alleges Jackson was found in possession of a video containing child sexual abuse material. The complaint said the video depicted two young children, ages 10-13, engaged in sexual conduct. The video was found on Jackson’s Snapchat account, the complaint said. The complaint said Jackson used Snapchat, an online social media app, to attempt to solicit or lure a 15-year-old child to engage in sexual conduct at Jackson’s home in the 600 block of Brookside Avenue in Algonquin. Jackson also allegedly sent an explicit photo and videos of himself to three other children through Snapchat. The complaint said the videos sent by Jackson were of him exposing himself and performing a lewd act on himself. The videos were sent to a 13-year-old child, a 14-year-old child and a 16-year-old child. Court documents said Jackson engaged

Snapchat sextortion of N.J. child and adult traced to Texas man, investigators say

Bergen County Published: Aug. 15, 2025, 6:30 p.m. A Texas man was arrested Thursday after he was accused of sexually extorting an adult and child in Bergen County, investigators said. Detectives determined that an online stranger, identified Friday as Quristafer D. Land, of Dallas, contacted them through Snapchat and instructed them to record and send photos and videos of themselves engaged in sexual acts over the last few months, according to a statement from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office. The office identified the scheme as sextortion which is the practice of extorting money or sexual favors from someone by threatening to reveal evidence of their sexual activity. Land allegedly used the likeness of another person to create several online accounts used to facilitate the sexual extortion activity, the prosecutor’s office said. Investigators ultimately traced the suspect’s social media activity to a home in Dallas, officials said. On Thursday, detectives from the office traveled to Dallas and executed a search warrant at the home with the help of local law enforcement. Land was arrested and charged with first-degree production of child pornography, second-degree aggravated sexual extortion, third-degree sexual extortion and third-degree impersonation, officials said. He was placed in custody by deputy

Column: Be proactive with children and social media – CNHI

August 15, 2025 by Teen access to social media is one of the most highly debated topics when it comes to parenting. I am a firm believer that the more you forbid your child from doing something, the more it makes them want it. Growing up I had a close friend with strict parents. That led to her sneaking around behind their backs doing what she wanted, making bad decisions as a teen. So I knew I never wanted to be that type of parent. My rule with my teens is that they can be on Facebook, Instagram, SnapChat or whatever, as long as I am on their friend list. I can check their account at any time. This leads to my 40-year-old self not knowing what I’m doing on SnapChat other than taking photos with silly filters. The other day someone added me as a friend. It said he added me after someone else tagged me in their snap. I added them back, figuring it was one of my daughter’s friends. A couple hours later the man started messaging me. Imagine my shock of horror when I opened them to see something I’d never imagined I’d be looking at

Supreme Court upholds Mississippi social media age requirement law – UPI.com

A banner advertising Snap hangs from the facade of the New York Stock Exchange as Snap's initial public offering debuts in New York City in 2017. The Supreme Court Thursday refused to overturn a Mississippi law requiring age verification for social media users. File Photo by Monika Graff/UPI | License Photo Aug. 14 (UPI) -- The Supreme Court on Thursday refused to block a law requiring social media users to verify their ages before using popular sites such as Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat. The high court's ruling stems from a Mississippi lower court ruling that would require people to be a certain age to use popular social media sites. Some social media site operators have argued that the Mississippi law, and efforts by other states to require age verification, violates the First Amendment clause that guarantees free speech. Weeks ago, the Supreme Court upheld a Texas law requiring age verification for users visiting sites that contain sexually explicit content. In that ruling, Justice Clarence Thomas said the Texas law did not violate the First Amendment because, he expressed, it is important to protect "children from sexually explicit material." Through a spokesperson, State Attorney General Lynn Fitch said the state is
