Reasons to Follow me on Twitch, Shiven Sharma, Ewell Castle School

Reasons to Follow me on Twitch, Shiven Sharma, Ewell Castle School To begin, let me explain what Twitch is. It is essentially a video streaming platform in which people can watch you play games, react to videos, or even just talk. Now for new streamers, the goal is to get something called Twitch Affiliate. This is achieved when you reach 50 followers and an average of three viewers on stream. This can take anywhere from a week to a year to achieve. In my case, I got the Affiliate status in under four weeks. Speaking of which, drop me a follow on https://twitch.tv/UghItsShiv. Live every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday! Drop in for a nice chat or to watch me be an epic gamer.

IRL Twitch streamer's 200k hot tub boat celebration ends in disaster

IRL streamer ImJasmine was celebrating reaching 200,000 followers on Twitch with a special hot tub boat broadcast – but the party ended before it could even really get started when disaster struck. Twitch’s IRL streams have been growing in popularity over the years, with streamers documenting their travels in foreign countries and their shenanigans at home. One of those taking advantage of the category’s popularity is ImJasmine, a streamer from Canada who has shared her adventures all over Asia. Her growth ended up earning her a whopping 200,000 followers, and to celebrate, she decided to get herself a hot tub boat. Twitch’s “hot tub meta” has been a big topic of debate in recent weeks, with some streamers thinking it promotes sexism, while others have been defending the controversial broadcasts. Regardless of that drama, however, ImJasmine decided to spice things up with a hot tub boat, which is exactly what it sounds like.  Read More: xQc can’t stream on Twitch after forgetting to pay electricity bill “So, we’re on a boat in a hot tub, and it’s the coolest thing I’ve ever done,” ImJasmine said to begin her March 31 broadcast. “Just literally a hot tub boat. Twitch star builds community during 250+ hour livestream

It can be easy to fall for people onscreen, but remember that the relationship between viewers and influencers is transactional. Graphic by Byanca Morales Cabrera. Ludwig Ahgren’s Twitch “subathon” livestream started on Mar. 14 — and it just kept going. Over 280 hours later, he was the second most subscribed person on Twitch of all time. He ate, slept and even showered (with swim trunks on) under the diligent watch of tens of thousands of viewers.  The broadcast began as a classic “subathon,” a type of stream in which creators add a certain amount of time to a count-down clock every time someone donates or subscribes, and they have to keep streaming until the clock reaches 00:00. Ahgren expected to be live for 24 hours, maybe a bit more, figuring that viewership and donations would die down after a little while. Except they did not. Tens of thousands of viewers tuned in to watch Ahgren sleep on that first night, and he woke up to more hours on the clock than when he went to sleep.  But why? Why have so many people spent actual, real world money to add seconds to a clock? Why does a livestream of a…

Those two combined account for over half the time I've spent in Snowboard Kids with easily 5 hours or so if I add it all up. If you've been watching, you know just how brutal they truly are, with luck being the main factor of determining a winner. What does 'Jebaited' mean in gaming?

Twitch allows streamers and viewers to interact in real time through chat. Twitch chat is notorious for being a chaotic, entertaining, and sometimes beautiful place where thousands of people can interact simultaneously. But Twitch chat has a unique language that might be confusing for new users. There are dozens of emotes that have different meanings and connotations in certain situations, which can be tough to learn. One of the most popular emotes is the Jebaited emote, which appears when someone is trolling or baiting another person. Alex Jebailey is the founder and CEO of Community Effort Orlando events and is a staple of the FGC scene. He is also the FGC director for ESL and DreamHack.  Jebaited is a popular Twitch emote based on Jebailey. The emote shows Jebaily making a surprised and amused face. It was added as a global emote in 2016 and slowly gained popularity throughout Twitch. The emote has multiple uses but is generally associated with someone trolling or calling out someone who is trolling.  Image via Twitch Viewers will spam the emote when trying to bait the streamer or to call out another viewer or streamer for trolling. Some viewers will use the emote to…

Ludwig now chasing Ninja's all-time Twitch sub record with subathon

As Ludwig closes in on the halfway mark of his (potential) 31-day subathon, fans are now wondering whether or not he can claim the title of most-subbed Twitch streamer ever by surpassing the impressive record currently held by Ninja. Already one of the most popular and unique streamers on Twitch, Ludwig Ahgren — simply known as Ludwig by his fans — has captivated the platform for nearly two weeks as his insane subathon continues to drag on. His idea of a “never-ending” Twitch stream where each sub adds to its total duration has quickly evolved from an interesting concept to a full-blown phenomenon, as Ludwig is now closing in on 12 full days of non-stop streaming, with no end in sight. Having already acquired more subs than any other creator on Twitch in the last month (with an eye-watering 124,353 subs at the time of writing), many are starting to wonder if Ludwig can beat out Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins as the most-subbed Twitch streamer in the platform’s history. Twitch TrackerLudwig’s all-time sub count is already closing in on half of Ninja’s impressive record. Back in April of 2018, Blevins set the platform’s record for highest all-time sub count with a…
