Speculation on Why Becky Lynch Lost to Lyra Valkyria at WWE Backlash – Ringside News

Becky Lynch’s surprising loss to Lyra Valkyria at WWE Backlash 2025 has fans questioning why the former champion didn’t walk away with the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title. Despite dominating much of the match and coming close to victory multiple times, Lynch ultimately fell to Valkyria after a relentless series of counters and near falls. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the decision to keep the title on Valkyria may have been a calculated move to elevate her status. Meltzer speculated, “I would bet, know that she was going to win the title that she would want to lose the first one, which is really good because it establishes — because if you just beat her the first time, it would kinda be like, ‘well Lyra’s mid-carder, so what.’ When she finally beats her, Lyra is a real star, beating Becky Lynch clean in the middle on a pay-per-view.” During the match, Lynch tried every trick in the book — from using a steel chair as a distraction to attempting to expose the top turnbuckle. However, Valkyria countered a Man-Handle Slam and delivered her Night Wing finisher to secure a hard-fought victory. After the bell, Lynch attacked Valkyria again

Max Hollingsbee, 21, used his computer to target at least 13 children and one young woman with his victims living in Surrey, Sunderland, Doncaster and Scotland. Posing as a teenager called 'Matt', he coerced one schoolgirl into sending him explicit photos of herself. The 15-year-old schoolgirl told police she had an online conversation with someone claiming to be 16 and from Scotland via a platform called Wizz before the conversation moved to the Snapchat app and texts. She said 'Matt' persuaded her to send images of herself in her underwear and topless before 'pestering' her for more explicit images and the passcodes to her Snapchat and the 'My Eyes Only' section of her Snapchat account. A short time after she agreed, the girl received a video from 'Matt' showing a computer screen containing downloads of explicit images from her Snapchats. Hollingsbee then sent her a message declaring: 'You've seen what I can do. Want to talk business?' Joseph Garofalo of Valley Stream, assistant lacrosse coach at Valley Stream Central … – Newsday

An assistant boys lacrosse coach at Valley Stream Central High School has been arrested and charged with the alleged "sextortion" of a 13-year-old boy, whom he allegedly enticed to produce and send sexually explicit images via Snapchat — one of at least 30 alleged victims of the defendant, federal prosecutors said in newly unsealed court papers. Joseph Garofalo, 20, of Valley Stream, pleaded not guilty last month to the charge of sexual exploitation of children. He has been denied bail, despite his parents, grandparents and aunt attempting to be suretors, using their homes as collateral of more than $1.5 million, on the basis that he is a danger to the community, court papers said. "Defendant has previously admitted to FBI agents upon arrest that he has an 'addiction' to the type of troubling behavior at issue here and, as such, has been unable to stop," U.S. Magistrate Judge James M. Wicks wrote in an order denying bail to Garofalo earlier this month. "He has engaged in this behavior since he was fifteen years old and, despite getting older, his victims remain in the same age range — between twelve and sixteen years old. At this juncture, the Government has already
