It has been released to certain beta testers, and therefore, it is still not available to everyone.Using this feature, which is similar to Stories, users can publish pictures and videos that disappear after 24 hours. While the core functionality remains unchanged, WhatsApp Desktop no longer requires a permanent connection to your phone in order to work. After setup you can send, receive, and check for new messages even if your phone is offline. This is the main advantage over WhatsApp Web, which has been available as a desktop app or via browser since 2015. As a native app, WhatsApp says the new version will also be faster and more reliable than before. It can be installed on up to three devices as part of WhatsApp’s multi-device feature, although this still doesn’t include tablets running Android or iOS. As well as being more independent, WhatsApp Desktop has also undergone a subtle redesign. WhatsApp, the world’s most popular messaging app, has introduced a new native app for Windows PCs that will work even if your primary phone does not have an active internet connection. The new app can be downloaded directly from the Microsoft Store, and comes as the service has introduced a feature called ‘linked devices’ to help users simultaneously link up to four devices with a primary account. The new feature right now allows multiple linked devices to work only across phones and PCs, while WhatsApp said that there is a native app in the making for Apple’s macOS platform as well.
