The South Jordan, Utah, native had career highs of 19 tackles, three tackles for loss and two sacks against the Hokies. His first tackle of the game was the 200th of his career and he now has a total of 218 in his career. Frager, a redshirt freshman from Lincoln Southwest, hit a trio of 3-pointers in a span of 1:40 as Nebraska turned an 18-16 advantage with just over nine minutes remaining in the half into a 14-point lead in a span 2:09 before extending the margin to 44-26 at the break. Frager finished 6-of-12 from 3-point range, as Nebraska hit 15 3-pointers in the win and improved to 20-0 all-time against in-state opponents in exhibition play. Pryce Sandfort was the only other Husker to finish in double figures, as he had 18 points, including 4-of-7 from 3-point range. In all, 13 of the 15 players who saw action broke into the scoring column while no Husker played more than 19 minutes. While UTEP was playing for pride, the Aggies were in search of a win to keep hope alive for the 2025 Conference USA Championship in Lynchburg, Va. Rob Baarts ' squad competed hard, but ultimately played to a 0-0 draw with the Miners, dropping the Aggies' league record to 1-3-4. The intensity that would befall the match reared its head early, with Kennedy Herrera recording a yellow card just 73 seconds into the contest. Coming into the match ranked fourth in the conference in shots per game at 13.3 per contest, UTEP kept the pressure on Aggie keeper Valerie Guha – peppering seven shots and forcing five saves by the redshirt junior. Virginia finished with a 45.3 percent (24 of 53) shooting mark from the field and shot 38.5 percent (10 of 26) from deep. All eleven Cavaliers that entered the game recorded points, with Malik Thomas (16 pts, 5-10 FG, 3-4 3FG) and Johann Grünloh (12 pts, 4-9 FG, 3-4 FT) reaching double figure scoring. Virginia outrebounded the Wildcats 39-32 and tallied 15 assists, seven blocks and seven steals. Villanova shot 41.9 percent (26 of 62) in the contest. HOW IT HAPPENED The Cavaliers went into the half with a 40-35 lead after shooting 53.6 percent (15 of 28) from the field with eight 3-pointers. The invitation to perform is extended to only two university bands per year. London’s New Year’s Day Parade takes place in Westminster and offers performance opportunities before a street audience of more than 600,000 spectators and a global television audience of up to 600 million viewers. The Sound of the South will also perform in the Festival Concert Series at London’s most prestigious music venues. Dr. Mark Walker, Director of Bands, said that this is the band’s first international trip, which will be filled with once-in-a-lifetime performances throughout the city of London in both the parade and concert venues. “Many of our students have not been out of the Southeast region; for these students to have the opportunity to travel to London to perform, study, take in the culture and visit famous sites is a testament to their hard work and commitment to the band, Troy University, and to their education,” he said.
